Wednesday Hodgepodge

It's a beautiful sunny day here in the Valley of Happiness.  I have a few errands to accomplish today to ready the Hubby for his jaunt down to San Diego to do the pack up and move out with Mr. 19 so I'm glad for Joyce's Hodgepodge of questions so I can get on with the day!

1. What reveals more about a woman-her refrigerator or her purse?

I'm pretty sure it would be her purse.  Refrigerators have random contributors therefore making it all about her null and void.

2. When was the last time you went to the zoo? Where? What's your favorite zoo animal?

Hmm.  I'm thinking it was last summer and it was for the Hubby's Firm Summer Picnic so we didn't go to see animals.  However I think my favorite would be the giraffes.  They're just interesting to watch.

3. What social issue fires you up?

You know, I don't really get fired up about much.  I mean, I ask questions and shake my head but I can't change anything by getting all worked up about it so I don't.  That is, unless we're talkin' taxes.  Ugh.

4. Are you a coupon clipper? If so, are you extreme?

Nope, can't say that I am.  I might randomly clip one for the craft store or Macy's (you know, to use at their "biggest sale of the year" every week,) but as for groceries notsomuch.  Sometimes there will be a 10.00 coupon off of 50.00 and I'll look for that one but otherwise not.

5. What is one of your favorite souvenirs brought back from your travels?

I think my favorite would be the crucifix we brought home from Rome.  I do also have an amazing purse I had to have from Paris.  I don't use it much but I still love it and it reminds me of that amazing trip.

6. Lemon meringue or key lime?

Oh, Lemon meringue for sure.

7. What is the most beautiful word you know in any language?

I'm going to go with Peace.

8. Insert your own random thought here

Son #1 phoned the other night.  You know when he starts the conversation with . . . " So . . ."  It's not going to be good.  Ugh.  Apparently he was doing a friend a favor by picking him/her up from the train station and ended up getting hit by a random tourist.  It took off his side view mirror.  At least said tourist (from Japan) opted to buy the insurance provided by Hertz so hopefully it will all be covered.  I  guess we'll see how well this rental agency takes care of it's customers.

However, we all know how these kids (ahem - Miss K.A.) take care of getting our cars fixed.  We most likely might be attending graduation with that mirror hanging off the car still.

Speaking of graduation,  according to the email from Son #1's soon to be Alma Mater move out day is a whole day earlier than we thought and therefore planned on.  Bother.

Is everything ever easy?

I'm just sayin'

Kids and their vehicles. And their conversations that begin with the word 'So"...I knew exactly what you meant...I think my stomach sank a little because those are some of my least favorite conversations here too.

And to answer your last question-if young adult children are involved then NO-you can count on not easy. . But look on the bright side-at least you've got one graduating : )
