Well, first I have to thank the hosts that took on the big challenge of hosting:
Arlee Bird at Tossing It Out
Jeffrey Beesler at World of the Scribe
Alex J. Cavanaugh at Alex J. Cavanaugh
Jen Daiker at Unedited
Candace Ganger at The Misadventures in Candyland
Karen J Gowen at Coming Down the Mountain
Talli Roland at Talli Roland
Stephen Tremp at Breakthrough Blogs
I wasn't sure I was up for this challenge at first. I didn't even sign up until the 3rd of April and did my first two posts on that day to catch up. And then I was off and running. I had a lot of fun. Some letters were easier to cover than others. Some were pretty lame, especially the week that I came down with a pretty bad bout of bronchitis (too bad that didn't happen at the beginning...could have been my B post!). But I did it! I posted something every day for every letter!
I did my best to go visiting too and tried to make sure that I left comments for anyone who visited me and left a nice word or two. Again...that week of being sick really knocked me out and I got behind. I'm still working on doing some visiting.
I loved every comment that was left on my posts. Funny enough, my Z post netted the most comments. Was everyone relieved that I was going to stop blathering on? :-) Seriously though, the comments were like having cheerleaders encouraging me to continue and the get well wishes were better than any medicine. I've tried to do the same for others. I'm just sorry that I haven't been able to do it for everyone.
I can't say that I had any one particular letter that was really hard to come up with a post for. I know that some were too short and some were too long, but I had fun with each and every one.
I have several new followers and I have found a big bunch of blogs to follow. I feel like I have made so many new friends in the past month. That was, by far, the best part of doing this challenge!
And awards! I got three awards this month. Wait. I got four awards! And even though I didn't get into this for the comments, the followers, or the awards, they are certainly icing on the cake! Thanks to everyone who took the time to comment, follow, or choose blogs for special note (awards). I, for one, am certainly thankful for each and every one of you!

Will I do it again? You betcha!! Can't wait! I hear there's another challenge going on for May. I have to take a break and can't jump into another one right away. But I'll be sure to do the A - Z again next year.
Don't forget to check out my X post for my little contest giveaway. Just for fun - so no cheating! You have till May 5th. :-)

I was late to finding you - actually found you via the blog hop and not the A to Z challenge! Which I did too, and agree with you, some days I felt good about the post and others days I thought my posts were lame. AND, like you I got sick...AND I was on the jury of this major trial here in Santa Fe and and and!!! You can read about the trial in my T,U, and V posts if you feel like it - it's pretty interesting! Anyway, we did it! And the best part was finding new friends. Look forward reading more of you. Stop by and visit me at http://writeryogini.blogspot.com. Glad it's May. :-)
ReplyDeleteP.S. It was your blog title that enticed me to visit - who doesn't want a simple, happy life???
ReplyDeleteYou have a lot of courage and strength to not only catch up when joining the challenge but to also do it again after a health setback. You rock!

ReplyDeleteThanks for giving the KREATIV BLOG Award to Doris, cause she gave me one of those. I would like to give to some people. I am checking with them first if they like to accept it then I will post their names.
I have yet to read your entries. I have the task of putting my husband back on low salt diet and it is tough. Once I have time I will start reading a lot more.
The Challenge was fun! I wasn't sure I could come up with an idea to match my topic and each letter, but I did it. Now we can all relax.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing the challenge, and the awards, hope you havea full recovery soon
