Wednesday Hodgepodge

Thank goodness for Joyce and her Hodgepodge.  Otherwise I would have to share with you what I did yesterday which was absolutely NOTHING.

1. What is something that bothers you if it is not done perfectly?

Hmm. I wouldn't say I'm overly anal or a perfectionist in anything.  That said, I'm not above reloading the dishwasher if it's just not quite right.  Ha.

2. What is one of your best childhood memories?

I was the flower girl in a family wedding when I was about 6 or 7 I think.  The dress was white satin with a bright blue satin ribbon.  I felt like a princess.  It may or may not have been prettier than the brides.  Just sayin'

3. Do you plan to watch the Royal Wedding and when was the last time you wore a hat?

Actually I think I will watch it.  I mean, I have no plans for the day on Friday so I can nap.  The bigger question is: do I go to bed early and set the alarm for 12:30 am to watch some pre-wedding coverage or do I just try to stay awake and hope I don't doze off before it comes on at 1:00 am? Hmm.
I believe the last time I wore a hat was at the Hubby's Law school commencement ceremonies.  I thought it was smashing.  Ha.  I need to find those pictures.

4. Where do you fall in the birth order in your family? Do you think this has influenced your personality?

I am #2 of 5.  Even though technically my brother is the middle child being smack dab in the middle of 4 girls, I believe I am really the middle child because he is the only boy and used that status to work in his favor.  Then since first younger sister was 'the baby' for a good 10 years before youngest sister came along that would make me the middle child.  Makes sense, doesn't it.  Also according to THIS which describes me to a T I am the typical Middle child.

5. Where do you think you spend most of your money?

Have I mentioned we have 3 in college?  Yep.

6. When you need to confront someone would you rather communicate in person, on the phone, by email or by letter? Why?

Oooh, I don't like the word - confront - in general.  It just sounds mean.  That said, if I have to have a serious discussion with someone, then I would prefer it to be in person.  Body language is everything. I just think a multitude of things can go wrong with email or a letter.  You can't "hear" the tone of voice which could make a huge difference.

7. Dodge ball, freeze tag, kickball or jump rope? You have to pick one.

Do I have to?  Okay, I pick freeze tag.  I'm thinking this would have the least amount of running involved.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

I really need to do my closet switch out but I can't get motivated.  I need a full two days to do said switch out and it's just not in the cards this week.   Now if the weather was such that I actually NEEDED to do the switch then maybe I would get motivated.

Maybe next week.

I'm just sayin'

College tuition and all that goes with it sure does have a way of depleting the funds, doesn't it? Our kids WOULD have to go and get an education, wouldn't they? I don't have any plans to get up in the wee hours of the morning to watch the wedding...I like my sleep way too much for that! I'll just set my DVR to record it.

I loved your answers today, especially the bridal party one-ha! We're on the same page with tuition. We have two payments left so we're transitioning the money in to the house now it seems. Oh well, at least I get to enjoy that! Although, daughter1 has a great new job and I'm sure that her education helped so it was worth it.

I have houseguests coming on Friday-three couples. I have my DVR set but I hope they want to watch some of the coverage. One of the girls has a sister living in the UK so she'll probably be up for it. Hubs says he'll get up with me at 4...he wants to see our old stomping grounds and I of course want to see the dress. I heard her sister Pippa is hosting an after wedding disco breakfast for the couple and their friends. Apparently the palace is not too happy with that theme : )
