1. National Read a Road Map Day falls on April 5th. Would people say you have a good sense of direction? Do you rely on a GPS when you drive somewhere new? When was the last time you used a map?
only as a joke...I still get turned around inside the hospital where I work and I've been there just under 8 years! I used to use a GPS when it was available...need to get a new one...so now I use Maps on my ipad
2. What's your favorite cookbook?
there are a couple...I like to get the ones from church events, you know the books compiled from recipes that you KNOW other families have prepared and eaten; I also have a a couple of kinda old "Gifts of Good Taste" books...they couple crafts and food....my kinda book!
3. What painting would you like to 'walk into' and experience? Why?
The Resurrected Christ
I can't find one to post (and not even sure legally I can)....
but it's a picture of Christ with his arms outstretched standing on clouds, surrounded by angels.
I imagine just walking up to Him and being encircled in His arms
4. What annoys you more-misspellings or mispronunciations?
they both annoy me equally...
5. What is something your mother or father considered important?
family dinner time....we almost always sat down together to eat dinner...and still do; it is rare that we do not.
And lying.....if we were to tell a lie, we got in trouble for lying rather than what we might have done.
6. Do you like or dislike schedules?
not sure if it's schedules so much as lists....schedules provide structure and obviously necessary, but I am very much a list person....items don't necessarily have to be completed at a certain time (unless of course they are time sensitive) so long as they get done
7. Let's have some fun with National Poetry Month (that would be April)...write your own ending to this poem-
"Roses are red,
Violets are blue...."
sorry...fresh out of poetic thoughts these days....
(but check back tomorrow..I've got one rattling around for Mama Kats Writer's Workshop)
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I'm getting really really tired of cats taking liberties and just laying around whereever they want...there is currently a cat laying on my mousepad..I have like 2 inches of space in which to manuever....grrr..and she won't move...just looks at my hand like I'm inconveniencing her!
