A few little spray paint projects

My mom, sister, and I have been doing a little Goodwill and consignment shopping lately and I have a few little things to share. I was really inspired by this post on Thrifty Decor Chick so when I saw this ghastly design on an otherwise perfectly good pitcher, I knew I could fix it! The design was on both sides so it took a little while to prime this thing. DSC_0029
This is the primer that I always use… I LOVE this stuff because it gives really good coverage and I have to use less coats than other brands I have tried. It’s also water based so it’s easy to clean. I have used this same can on probably 10 projects and it’s still about 3/4 full!

I think it took about 3 coats to cover the ugliness and then I sealed it with White glossy Krylon spray paint… Here it is! The girl whose blog inspired me to do this mentions how similar the finished pitcher looks like one from Pottery Barn and I totally agree :)

Tada! :) Please excuse my stiff looking Callas… they were all I had at the moment.
The next thing was pretty simple as well… Just a flowered canister that I got for $1 at Goodwill:

II thought this would make a cute cookie jar for Cole or even use it to store treats for Charlie. (on the freak chance that he ever behaves long enough to deserve a treat!) Just a little primer and it was like brand new!

The cookie jar lives on the counter where our old microwave used to be! I love having all the extra space that our new oven/mic has given us! I am glad I saw this blog's idea because otherwise I would have totally overlooked these two items… never again!
