How To Wear Spring Graphic Tees with Ageless Style

Ageless Style is a monthly style challenge and link up for women of all ages.   Each month we pick a different theme and style an outfit based on that theme.  This month's theme is "Spring Graphic Tees" and was picked by Leslie.

Spring is really trying to make its way to Wisconsin, but Mother Nature seems to be fighting her every step of the way.  I do see bulbs popping out of the ground now, but the grass is still brown and temps vary from the 30's to 50's with a surprise 60 degree day now and then.  With these fluctuations in temperatures, dressing in layers is essential and using a cute graphic spring tee as your base layer is one way of welcoming spring even when the weather says something else.

My spring graphic tee not only has a spring graphic on it (butterflies) but is also a spring color.  I paired my graphic tee with a white denim jacket because of course, it was chilly outside;  too chilly to just wear a t-shirt.

I wore my t-shit with a long denim skirt to dress it up a bit.  I'm not the type of gal who wears t-shirts out in public much, and when I do, I tend to dress them up.  I added a white belt to pull out the white butterfly graphic, and I wore neutral, comfy athletic sandals.

For jewelry, I kept it simple with a white pearl shell necklace, white stud earrings, and a couple of brightly colored bead bracelets.

So what about you?  Has spring arrived in your neck of the woods?  Do you wear graphic tees out in public?  I'd love to hear from you.

Have A Great Day!  Amy

    1. Yes, it is a beautiful day here as well, but I hear severe storms are on their way. Thanks so much. I saw you didn't post and figured out why. I'm really not a graphic tee person either. I wear them at home, but usually not in public.

    1. I live about 2 hours from Minneapolis and our weather is quite similar to yours. I had my hubby put our car in the garage when I heard we may have hail. It's so up and down in the spring isn't it? Happy Easter to you too!

  6. Love this pairing! It looks very springy and the denim skirt looks great on you and a fun twist on jeans. I'll have to remember this when I style my denim skirt the next time. Our spring is all over the palace too. Hopefully within the week and into may we can stabilize.

  7. You look perfectly springy even if it is still chilly up there. Love the longer length denim skirt. I have lost a few pounds and mine is fitting better but if I eat anything while wearing it, I will look like I am wearing a sausage casing!! Pink is a grand color on you. Hope it is soon warm enought that you are able to wear that darling tee without the cute denim jacket. Happy Easter, sugar foot.

    1. Thanks Leslie! Your description of a sausage casing is so funny but true! I got rid of all my pencil skirts for that reason. Too uncomfortable.

  9. These colors look absolutely amazing on you, love that pretty pink and the jean jacket makes a perfect topper. And a great shade of denim blue for the skirt too. I don't own a single graphic t-shirt. They aren't for me. While I love them on others they've never felt right on me.

    1. Thank you. I own a lot of graphic tees and tend to only wear them around the house or traveling, otherwise I feel they are just too casual for everything else I do.

  11. I'm lovin' the pink with blue denim, looks great with your white denim jacket! Graphic tees are fun and I have a few.

Our weather here in Southern Ontario is the usual Tug o' War between Winter and Spring. (BTW I noticed a little typo in your third paragraph *t-shirt)

Hope you enjoyed the Easter weekend!

    1. Thank you! I'm not sure what you mean by typo, I looked and couldn't find anything. T-shirt can be spelled with just a "T" or spelled out "tee". "Most dictionaries recommend T-shirt, and it is the form most common in edited writing throughout the English-speaking world. Yet t-shirt is gaining ground, and both tee-shirt and tee shirt have some adherents. Not one of them is considered incorrect, so while T-shirt might be the safer choice, the others aren’t wrong."
