Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays.  Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.

Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you.  What better way to start the week than with a smile!

The mamas have started to arrive at our shelter.  These came from another shelter, the one mama is doing her best but is very sick and her kittens have to be supplemented.  The other has her own kittens plus three or four more orphans of different ages.  It's amazing to see these mamas and be able to help care for them and their babies.

If anyone ever needed a reason to spay/neuter, here it is.

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week.  While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Our dear friend Diane is taking a break

accommodations we must make

we miss her poetry and wit

so carry on as Poetry Monday's a hit!

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border Charlotte/Mother Owl and i are keeping it going while she takes a blog break, we hope temporarily.  Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let us know!

This week the theme is Free.

To be free really does not mean

I can do whate'er I want to do

I cannot call something red

when its color wavelength is blue.

I am free to go to work

my living for to earn,

and I’m free to go to school

and learn what I need to learn

I am free to live my life well

and help others as I go along,

And I'm free to do what is right

when everyone else chooses wrong.

*******

If fire fighters fight fire,

and crime fighters fight crime,

what do freedom fighters fight?

Ha!  Got you this time!

  6. That little kitten with the two tone face is so cute. I bet that one is the first to find a home. I hope they all find homes soon. Mom has feral cats on her property. She made the mistake of feeding them and can't get rid of them nor will anyone come get them. Now one of them had kittens. This is a problem in rural communities. Unfortunately, Mom can't capture them to take them to a shelter. She's been trying to get someone to take them to no avail. I'm afraid these cats are going to trip her. They are always waiting by the door to try to get into the house.

I have to say freedom fighters fight freedom haters. :)

I hope you all had a blessed Easter celebration, my dear. Have an awwwesome Monday and boogietastic week! xo
