Bluebells and Bunny

Hi everyone, today’s card is a fairly simple one I made for this month’s Lavinia Creative Challenge - “The Joys of Spring”. I love bluebells so I decided to incorporate some into a little scene, along with a cute bunny being as it is nearly Easter!

I took a pre-cut 30cm x 15cm piece of  Pink Frog super smooth card, and scored it to make a one-layer card suitable for blending inks directly onto the card base. I masked the card so that I could create an inked vertical panel blending Elements inks and using my acetate Mini Hill and Circle masks. I then removed the masks and stamped my scene using various shades of Versafine Clair. I highlighted the bird and bunny with white Stabilo pencil, and added white Posca accents here and there. I also outlined the sun with Stardus pen and highlighted it with Wink of Stella to add a little sparkle. Finally I stamped the sentiment directly into the card base.

Stamps: Lavinia Bluebells, Trees, Grass, Gate and Fence, Wild Hares (large), Bird Collection, Birds, The World Is Full of Beauty;
Media: Lavinia Elements inks (Blue Lagoon, Pixie Green, Lemon Drop); Versafine Clair (Nocturne, Morning Mist, Blue Belle, Very Peri, Medieval Blue, Shady Lane, Portobello); Sakura Stardust pen (yellow); Stabilo pencil (white); Posca pen (white); Wink of Stella (clear);
Tools: Lavinia acetate Mini Hill and Circle masks.

Hi Pauline
You always create the most gorgeous little scenes - and I love how this one only takes up a strip of your card front, but still holds lots of detail. Beautiful!
Hope you are having a good Easter break.
Love and hugs

The card beautifully captures the joy of spring. The vertical ink-blended panel design frames the scene wonderfully, and the combination of Lavinia stamps and soft colors creates a serene atmosphere. The inclusion of bluebells and the bunny adds a whimsical touch to the composition, evoking the gentle beauty of the season.

What a great idea for your inked/stencil/stamped section to be mostly contained with a rectangle block!! Having the bunny to the side makes me think of those in our yard that keep back away from the house back door and side door into the garage! They do seem to like staying back and watchful! Great spring season scene! Thanks for sharing with HQCOLCB! -- Becca

This is such a wonderful scene. Love how it is mostly kept within the blue background with just a few little pieces going outside of it. And of course the adorable bunny is so sweet just off to the side taking it all in. Lovely card.
