Here is the spot that I wanted to decorate.
Farther to the right you can see my collection of vintage Jell-O molds, I'll have a post about those in the future. This post details the strawberry houses and this one the strawberry painted rocks that are in that bed. The fence fabric is an Amazon purchase that you can find here. We wanted to add privacy to our chain link fence and this worked really well.
All of my pans are thrift store finds, just make sure to clean them really well as any greasy residue is going to prevent your paint from sticking.
These have gold on them because I had been previously using them in my craft room. I found a better set for crafting so these went out into the garden!
I spray painted my pans in the colors that I wanted...
...then using my Cricut I cut out the designs in permanent vinyl.
You can find my garden SVG bundle here
To hang the pans I used cable wire because It's strong, lightweight, matched the fence fabric and I had a whole spool. Some of the pans already had holes, but those that didn't I punched one using a hammer and nail.
Laying out the pans on the ground helped me decide an arrangement that I liked as well as how long the cable wire would need to be.
Never mind the white spray paint from another project....I don't even remember what that one was at this point...😄
Here are the pans hanging up. The dirt area is now our vegetable garden. The green area across the sidewalk is where we now have our berry beds; blueberry, raspberry, blackberry and a cherry bush 'tree'.
I also made a few using round cake pans and hung them in a grouping by my lilac bush. If you look closely you will notice that more of the cable wire has been added in a crisscross pattern. I have different flowering vines that have been planted and these help to support them.
And that's how I made my hanging garden signs.
