Feline Friday was originally started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude (may he rest in peace), and i'm going to believe it's because he liked cats.

He handed hosting duties off to Sandee at Comedy Plus, and now she's entrusting it to me.

Feline Friday is simple to join.  All you have to do is: Post a picture, drawing, cartoon or video of a cat (they may be silly or cute).  Then add your link!

One thing for sure is this is a fun and easy meme to do.  So come and join us in Feline Friday.

What better way to start the weekend than with a feline!

When we're walking Mr. Cal on Sunday mornings, Becca and i often see this judicious and wise cat.  He belongs to the neighbor two doors down and is very careful when out to avoid streets, dogs, and anything else he would consider a threat.  Most pictures have to be from a good distance.

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:

1. Once in a while, I manage to _________.

2. The weirdest thing in my home is _________.

3. I wish I had access to _________ so that I could _________.

4. It's never too late to _________.

1. Once in a while, I manage to   snag a day off.

2. The weirdest thing in my home is   me!

3. I wish I had access to   more old family recipes from my family and my Sweetie's  so that I could   make them and pass them on to my children.

4. It's never too late to   learn, change and grow.

  1. Love the feature cat. And your fill-ins. I am glad that you occasionally get a day off, and wish it was more frequent.

  2. He is a wise cat to keep himself out of harm's way.

  3. A day off when you are self employed is not easy to get but it sure is nice. The problem is no one does your work so you do have to make it up later on but it is nice to be away. That is one smart cat but curious as well.

  6. It's almost as if Wise Kitty is guarding, not only his own front porch, but the entire block. He looked like he was as interested in you as you were in him -- in those last two shots anyway. Handsome kitty.

  7. Cute kitty that is clearly well-fed. Thanks for hosting Feline Friday and for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am glad you manage a day off sometimes. I had the same for #2. :) And I agree with #4. It is nice to pass along recipes. I love it when my niece asks me for one. XO

  14. We have a black and white neighbor cat like that one, but he/she isn't so much judicious as sneaky - always lurking to stalk and catch something it spots. But when it sees us, the silly cat runs away.

  16. Charlee: "Most cats are indeed judicious and wise."
Java Bean: "Ayyy, did you see Oona just come tearing through here, then jump to the top of the Tower of Terror, then jump from there over to the top of Dada's desk, then back to the Tower of Terror, then knock over a box running through the dining room?"
    Charlee: ".... most of them."
