My Yellow Diamond Chains

 Yellow!!!!

The color of ENERGY... okay - I am claiming it - the sun is out almost 12 hours a day, the grass is starting to grow, the animals are so happy.... lets say its all due to that Big Yellow Sun!!!

Which also means, I have more energy to stitch!!! Yellow is our RSC color for March, and I looked up all the colors that go with it - PURPLE is yellows Complementary color - and I had Purple - so!!

I had so much fun figuring out how to do a border on my February quilt  , that I thought - I wonder what I can do with this one. and you know what??

I like it!

When I was building the blocks - I made that one in the right top corner, and as the quilt grew... it just seemed out of place. So once I had the top completely laid out, I ended up replacing it. I am much happier now

This is a new one for my dog - I think she decided that being a cat for the day would be good. We told her - SHE is the reason we can't have nice things, and she went to her bed. But Oh my!!! I want to be in her head for a day - the things she comes up with!!

Love the color layout of your diamonds!
LOL don't you know your house is for the animals, and they can sleep anywhere they choose? :D

Love that quilt pattern. It looks difficult but is easy. Is your dog sitting on the back of the couch??? Too funny!

That look that your dog is giving you, I'm not sure what she is trying to say to you. But she looks serious.

What a fabulous sunny quilt! The purple border reminds me of pansies.

Your quilt looks WONDERFUL. I love that you used the same block to make a border. It's looking terrific. Your pup is just channeling a West Highland Terrier. They love sitting on the top of couches. Anytime hubby leaves Sunny is generally sitting on the couch with a view of the door from the garage. Granted, she fits up there a bit better than yours but hey... they are going for the high point in the room! It's all fun.

I thought pansies too with your color combination! What a happy quilt! Your sweet girl just wanted to test out the cushion to see if it was better at the top! LOL

I like that quilt a lot! If I made it with 8" blocks it would be the perfect size for our veterans quilt donations.

Purple and yellow is such a fun and dramatic color combination. Your diamond chains turned out beautifully. Your puppy doesn't look at all sorry. You have your hands full with that one.

Oh my - that purple and yellow is beautiful together. I really like how you did that border, and might have to steal that idea some day.

I really love how the blocks make such a great border with the change of color to purple. Awesome springy quilt. P.S. I always smile when I see your masthead knowing somebody special drew your insignia!

Great choice of the two complementary colours, I've always loved both yellow and purple, very rich and bright. Love the photo of your dog - the expression on her face is perfect!!

You've inspired me to pull out my forgotten red/white and blue/white 4 patches and 'try' to make this patriotic. :)

Look at you go with the idea of adding the border in the quilt. Two wonderful quilts in a row. You're on a roll. I do think your dog think she's a cat today. My cat has the same expression when I say "no, don't do that". Lol. Enjoy! ;^)

Your yellow and purple blocks are wonderful, Alycia!! I really love the four-patch border you added. Great addition. We really never know what's going through a dog's head, huh?!! Funny! Thanks so much for joining us at Monday Musings.
