Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
And Bunny Land under the Tree...
Click HERE if you missed that post!!
On Sunday, we had high winds again, like we seem to have been experiencing almost all Winter...
I guess it was too much for this 45 year old tree in the yard across from me....
The Police and Fire Department response was swift...
You can see why the tree came down....
Pretty much hollow inside the trunk....
There is one more large tree in this yard, that is actually larger than this one....
It is the one that puts on quite a show of color in the Fall....
It should be interesting to see if the owner, who rents this house out. will invest in removing it before that one comes down too as these trees were planted 45 years ago by the original owner who dug them out of the woods by us...
Luckily, the tree that fell did not hit the house or a car as there are usually cars parked on the road where this tree fell....
Today, I am going to pick up the tour of my Living Room decorated for Easter right where I left off in my previous post....
I mentioned in my last post that I still have to "dabble" with the Dollar Tree egg topiary that I bought....
On the left side of the TV entertainment center is a vintage 3 tiered table....
For Spring/Summer, I changed over the doilies for this table to peach lace ones.....
I also replaced the Winter runner on top of the TV entertainment center with another lace fringed one just like the one I used on the hutch in the Living Room...
I added a few Easter items to by normal Victorian style decor on this 3 tiered table....
A few eggs added here too....
I keep up the garland here year round and change it for the different Holidays....
For Easter, I added egg garlands to it....
A floral garland was also added.....
I hung Bunny Butts and Bunny Paws ornaments that I made a few years back....
On the right side......
I recently bought the pink bottle brush trees in Gabes.....
And these from Dollar Tree, not realizing that these light up!!!
The bunny nut cracker was bought at a church flea market....
The lamps came from Amazon.....
And topped it with a purple and aqua deco mesh bow....
More bottle brush trees.....
And another bunny nutcracker.....
In the evening.....
I also decorated the area on the floor in front of the TV entertainment center.....
The gold bunnies in front of the TV were gifted to me by my late friend Anne Marie....
A sign, that Joe bought for 90% off in Big Lot's a few years back, that I embellished....
And this is where I will end for today.....
Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

Your granddaughters are going to just love the bunnies!!!!! It's a magical Easter Wonderland!!!
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe that tree did not damage any vehicles! What luck. The owner might well consider taking down the other tree, unfortunately. My daughter lost a huge tree 2 years ago in a Spring wind storm. Luckily she had a large side yard and it only damaged one fence section on a neighbor's lot. She contacted her insurance company to see if they would assist in the cost of removal. First, no they didn't and second, they told her she need to have her trees looked at since now that she knew that her trees could be in danger of rot and falling, they would not cover any damage to the house if the next one landed on it. So that was an expensive removal.
Your Easter mantel and the tree are so festive! I can only imagine how big your granddaughters' eyes will be when they see all the pastel goodness! I heard about the terrible weather so many experienced this past weekend. So hard to lose a tree but I'm glad everyone was safe! Have a great week, Deb! Happy St. Patrick's Day!
ReplyDeleteAll your bunnies are so cute. and here in Chicagoland the wind was horrible, but luckily, nothing has leafed out so not too many trees down. But then our area lost a bunch last year...with multiple storm. I know i have our basement stocked with emergency stuff just in case. Spring hugs! Sandi
ReplyDeleteHow fun and festive, Debbie. Your grands are getting to the age now that it is magic when they see those. And it's different with girls than boys -- my guys don't get QUITE as into it as I think little girls will. I'm so sorry about the tree.
ReplyDeleteEverything is decorated so beautifully, Deb. I adore the large Easter bunnies on the mantle. I could just kick myself for not picking up the stacked Easter eggs at the Dollar Tree. Yours looks fabulous by the tree. Have a great day. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI love your Easter trees and their impressive bow tree toppers! Beautiful 😍 Judy in Australia 🇦🇺
ReplyDeleteSo glad that tree missed the houses and cars; we have had a few really large ones like that come down in the last couple of weeks too (near us; not "our" trees) and amazingly they missed all the buildings and cars too and best of all we didn't lose power either which is pretty unheard of! Your mantle looks wonderful.
