Our Screech Owl left us a couple pellets in her bird house.
Of course, I wanted to see what she was eating this winter.
We figure it was mostly mice and a few shrews. The
tiny jaw bones had minute sharp molars.
Hoping she is fine and found a place to nest this
Spring as I have not seen her in a few weeks.

That made me laugh! That used to happen to Flynn a lot, but not to Eric. Years ago when I went into supermarkets I would hear a loud crack of electricity when I touched certain shelves. It was loud enough for people to turn around and stare and for me to say ouch! They must have changed the shelves because it doesn't happen now.
That is amazing all those bits found in the owl pellets.

I wasn't sure what I was seeing with the paper towel pictures - I thought maybe Lynn had emptied the vacuum cleaner bag for a minute there (!!). That is fascinating what the Owl has consumed, luckily it has left all the sharp bony bits out.
