Tried out a couple of new things with this postcard. I cut a wider
binding (1¼ inch) and also sewed the binding closer to the edge (a fat ⅛
inch). I had to update my notes - don't need the wider binding if I
stitch it so close to the edge. But for once I had too much fabric
rather than too little to work with. I also used fusible web to tack
down the back side of the binding - that worked so much better than
glue. Will certainly use that in the future.

That's fun, Sally! I like the blue and green combination, and the different widths of the arrows. Your fabric postcards are a great way to meet the PQ challenge!
ReplyDeleteThe arrows look great together in the post card. Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteI was about to type that this design is very sharp, and then realized it might sound like I was making a joke. Not! Anyway, it looks very precise and with these shapes has a different sort of feel to it, I think. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteYour Arrow project turned out awesome, Sally. I love the colours too. I would have no clue what to do with such a theme.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun postcard. Thanks for sharing in my Sew & Tell party.
ReplyDeleteSometimes the best way to complete a Project Quilting assignment is to make your piece small and simple. Great idea to go with the poster. I love that you designed two arrows a thick and thin one.
ReplyDeleteCool! This Arkansas Traveler postcard seems to be in the process of figuring out which way it's going! Hopefully, to somewhere warm! I found this last prompt to be a head-scratcher, but that's what makes the challenge so much fun! Well done!
ReplyDeleteHow creative to have made your own paper-pieced template! Nice job! Love your colors and that binding pulls it all together!
ReplyDeleteLOVE blue and green together and the shades you used are perfect. Well done. Keep stitching.
