Mod Flowers - a Q4K

This dear little quilt languished in the laundry basket for eons, aka a few years.  It began as a 3-yard quilt project from a free pattern  I got at Wood Valley Designs website.  I must have been experimenting with a new binding method because when I washed it,  the fabric frayed away from the binding.  Hence, the living under a laundry basket.

I finally decided to pull it out,  cut away the attached binding, a begin again.  It now has fresh binding and is ready for the 'quilts 4 kids' collection.  It now measures 42 x 48.

The backing is a soft fleece print.  I free motion quilted it with rulers and also played with other free-style designs.

I'm joining these lovely linky parties this week.  Be sure to visit them to see what other creative quilters are sharing.

  5. How strange about that old binding. But your quilt is looking fresh and new now, and some child is going to love all the care you've put into it. So bright and cheery! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
