it's Imke's turn to choose the challenge and she's taking us through the alphabet and saying, "B Is For Birthday!" which means she'd like to see those birthday makes.
This is what I did.....
A fairly standard birthday card using one of my most favourite colours combos - pink & gray. Digi is from Graciellie Design. Sentiment is a cheapie I picked up yeeeeeeears ago at a scrapbook store. Of course I stamped it crookedly, but seeing as I didn't realize that until after I embossed and die cut it, I just went with it. I'm finding that with my newish 50ist attitude, I really don't get too bothered about....well....a whole lot of things anymore. Up until I was about 49 and 9 months, stuff like that would have annoyed the paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaants off me. Like, I would NEVER use a crooked sentiment on a card. I would have done the whole process over until it was right. Now *insert shoulder shrug*. It's done wonders for my stress level, let me tell you. Hmmmm....now I'm wondering if I didn't die cut it wonky and the stamping is fine. No change to my reaction with that knowledge though. Still shoulder shrugging. (:

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Jan, I cant see a wonky sentiment, and I love the digi image with the pink and grey colour combo. I used to be OCD over stuff but shrug my shoulders now, what's the point in worrying...right?

Ohhhhh! Pink and gray is a favourite combination of mine as well, especially when it's a soft pink. Your card is such a pretty one.

Super cute card, Jan, love the pink & gray color combo, your image and the card's overall design. Now as to the sentiment...you'd really have to be picking the fly sh*t out of the pepper to notice that was crooked. Hihihihihi...yeah, wait another decade, then you'll give even less of a sh*t.
ReplyDeleteVery Sweet... i love the simplicity of it with the little pop of pink. thank you for sharing at A Cut Above.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog today, Jan. And for your lovely comments. I LOVE that idea that the fox is bringing the cupcake colour.
