myasperations 3-1-25

This is my third card posted as of the Dressy Girls, aka DTs, for the All Dressed Up Stamps FB Challenge Team! This card features a sweet digi named “Magical Pony.” I wanted to color the pony as a “dappled grey” and found several photos on Shutterstock. A grey and pink color scheme helped create a lovely card.  I donate cards to a Drug/Alcohol center where I worked before I retired in August. Clients are usually there for a month or more, and have limited contact with family for part of that time as they learn how to stay clean and sober.  So… I regularly provide an assortment of cards/postcards that they can send to friends and family in order to stay in touch. They really appreciate birthday and thinking of you cards for children… so I think this card will be in my next delivery of cards! It is sure to brighten a young horse lovers day!

Park Hopping-My Happy Place (March)   Land of Little Horses

I was thrilled earlier this year when a Blogland friend, Makira, asked me to be be a Guest DT for a challenge blog she sponsors. The blog is named Park Hopping and it has introduced me to amusement parks all across the globe that are now on my bucket list!
The March mood board, “Marching into Spring” features two carnival rides, a castle and an abundance of pastel pink cherry blossoms.  I created a romantic card, swathed in boughs of cherry blossoms, that frame a silhouette of sweethearts, cuddling under an umbrella being pelted with falling pink blossoms!  (Look closely you can see them just above heads within the heart shape!) A gold heart-shaped doily and gold photo corners add elegance to the scene.

We Love Stamping- March: Hello Spring (optional AG)

Ever since I co-owned a small stamp/scrapbook store in the late 90’s, I try to shop at small local businesses whenever possible.  So I was thrilled to find a little coffee shop/bakery opened nearby and visit it whenever I can. The last time I was there I asked if I could get a single muffin wrapper to use on a craft project. They quickly obliged my request… and I think they will enjoy seeing this card which I’m giving them on my next visit. It also features a sweet barista digi, and a sprinkling of red heart embellishments cut from scraps of a red plastic file folder. (If you follow my blog you’ll know that I use these wonderful items quite often. Sometimes called document file folders, they come in a pack of assorted colors and can be found in the office supply section of most stores, and occasionally dollar stores. They're cheaper than colored vellum and more translucent. Punches and dies don’t work on these sheets, but they are easy to fussy cut with a sharp pair of scissors. And you can use templates or stencils to trace shapes onto them with a permanent fine line marker.)

It reminds me of the ponies that pull Cinderella's carriage at Disneyworld. Thank you for playing with us at Park Hopping My Happy Place. ❤️🎨🎢 Cheers, Makira
