Awww Monday

We thank our Hostess Sandee at Comedy Plus

Dearest Auntie HiC
There’s an ongoing disagreement in our household! Believe it or not the subject of the debate is the latest Progressive Insurance commercial, Good Luck Charms.

Sfoot da Progressive Wabbit

Watch the commercial & share your thoughts.
Do you think Mom or Dad is the big fan?!?

One of our Peeps calls the commercial senseless & obtuse. However, our other Peep insists it’s absolutely brilliant & hilarious, and walks around the house saying “Named Sfoot” for no apparent reason. 😹

Dearest Darlin' Kat and Rocky
Sfoot OMRs OMRs OMRs.  He is pretty darn cute.  Now knowing Mom had a classroom Wabbit (or maybe a pet wabbit),  I'm thinking she is the one who loves it
BUT I HAVE BEEN WRONG BEFORE.  I PURRSONALLY LOVE IT ALMOST AS MUCH AS THE GOLD RETRIVERS DRIVING A SUBARU.
LOVINGLY AUNTIE HiC

Auntie HiC
You are absolutely correct❣️🐰❤️
Mom wants a Subaru because of the adorable commercials! Our vet has a brand new green Crosstrek!

Saturday Stitches and Symmetry

Hosted by
YAM Aunty click here to see her handwork

I started working on this scarf in early fall 2024.
Holidays and 1 sinus infection and the CEC(Christmas Eve Crud)
got in the way.  I finally finished it May 2, 2025.

1 skein of variegated yarn
a J hook
stitches are all single and double crochet
simple and easy...!!
Scarf is 6"wide x 42"long

April 30, 2025 our temperature was 90 degrees.
It broke the April 30, 1906 record

Now should we have a cold snap in May I'm and ready to stay warm.
I think it compliments my new fall coat

Woohoo lots of symmetry in hooking

 Dear Auntie HiC,

I was preparing for my scheduled 1:35 afternoon nap on May 2, when the windows shook from a thunderstorm!

I found the storm quite entertaining, as I share Mom’s fascination with meteorology. I particularly enjoyed the pea sized pieces of ice falling from the sky!

Despite their bravery, Kat and Rocky are terrified of storms and quickly took cover under the bed.

As the storm passed, I found myself bored, washed my paws, and slumber soon followed!
Enjoy the video! 😹

Hey friends, do you like thunderstorms? Every dog in Mom’s life has been terrified during bad weather, and she is extremely sympathetic.

❤️ Cali

Dearest Cali
Auntie HiC does not like Tstorms or lightning.  I would have been snuggled under the bed with Rocky and Kat.
Angel Madi would run to our half bath, wedge herself between the loo and the wall.
Lovingly Auntie HiC

MOL BOL LOL

The meaning of HiC

A bit of background first.

In 2006, long before I blogged, I met four ladies, Bette, Chelle, Kathy and Kit in a chat room all about Alaska.  We had a grand time email and discussing our love of the great state of Alaska. Kit, mom to Kat, Rocky and Cali.  I've known Kit and Chelle almost 20 years. Chelle was born in Alaska now lives in Florida.  Every day I email Chelle and Kit.  They are the sisters I never had. Bette whom we called 'Our Bette' passed away in 2017.  Kathy no longer emails.

Now how I came to be HiC

One morning on of the gals was replying to an email.  It started

'Hi C'...but she hit send before she complete spelling my name. I thought she was just shortening my name. I wrote back if we are gonna shorten it lets go with

HiC,

which is one of several shortened versions of Cecilia,

Cil, Ceal,  just plain C
