FFO, Smiles And Funnies

With this kitty I join Nicole´s FFO. And maybe for Gillena´s, too? Hers is cute...

And here is something that made me give a thankful smile for Annie´s Smiles - found at FB:

"Damn, That's Interesting
My 18-year-old daughter was at Starbucks, alone, the other night. A man came up to her and started talking to her. A barista handed her “an extra hot chocolate someone forgot to pick up.” How grateful I am for people who look out for other people!
Side note:
She felt safe and did not remove the lid, but let them know. She said the whole team was watching over her the rest of the time she was there. Thank you to the team at Starbucks on Staples and SPID in Corpus Christi.

Some... things to think about:

... and yet. I am 53 and start a whole new training.

And some funnies:

I saw a dude in a T-Shirt and trousers to his knees only...

We won´t see a solar eclipse, but "no sun" is likely to happen...

The series...

"The tastiest dishes with the funniest names

 Sweetbreads

Sweetbreads are the thymus and pancreas of calves or lambs."

 I´ll pass, thank you...

Henry 🦁

Have a (n)ice one, sun or not!

I'll pass on sweetbreads too. I like "look dad I have a twin". It's true children don't see differences like adults do, at least until some adults "enlighten" them instead of learning from them.
My grandma in Germany could never understand the sheer size of Australia and always wondered why we grown up children didn't visit mum for morning tea, or for dinner some days. Mum was in Adelaide and I was in Brisbane, then Sydney, then Melbourne and Perth for my brother.

You´re very welcome :-)

Absolutely right - the adults should (re-) learn from the kids, not vv. Seeing you commenting I reckon your eye-surgery went well - yippeee! Yes?
LOL, yes, Australia sure is huge. I´d love to do another road trip. If I still want to sleep in the car is another question, though...

Lots of smiles here today. I love the child's view of meeting the other little girl and how true it is that the world would be such a better place if we all saw things that way. Have a good weekend. Hugs Angela xXx

Thumbs up to Starbucks for looking out for the loners.
It is very cold here but the sun is shining. I think I prefer that to 'wet and warm'.
That little cat! He's very cute but....
I missed Henry this week. Have a good one. Kate x

Cute little "evil" artwork.
Age is certainly a matter of opinion. Most people think I am younger because I stay active. It is hard to think of myself as "old" with a limited lifespan. (I'm only 35. ha ha)

...awe, through the innocent eyes of a child!

Iris Flavia said...

Not a Starbucks-fan, but I thought this was nice to share. Cold here, too...
Henry is at the end of this post :-)

Correct answer he gave! ;-)

Thank you :-)
I have a sign here, if you haven´t grown up by 40 you don´t have to - so I won´t!

Wish we could keep this...

Your kitty may not be evil but is definitely a bit crazy. I like him though. We all feel that way at times. And ha ha to the stra-trek. You have some good funnies today. And thinkies too like the little girl and her twin. If only we could all see the world like that. Have a great last few hours of January and start to February Iris. hugs-Erika

I'm not a Starbucks fan, but that was really thoughtful of the staff.
I love all the funnies today and the 'twins' are great. Something to think about.
No thank you to sweetbreads.
Yes I had to look twice at the 'laptop' but in the end I saw it.
Enjoy your weekend,
Lisca

That Starbucks story is interesting and well done. I'm not a Starbucks fan either but that was a wonderful gesture. LOVE your drawing!

I can drive 35 hours without stopping and still be in the US — from here in Michigan, I would get to California. When we were in Paris we used to think about how driving a distance that would still be in the US would get us all the way to Moscow.

Iris Flavia said...

Yes, we all feel like that at times! Yes, bye January, hello a bit nearer to Spring, have a great day, hugs

You´re very welcome, hugs x

I was once in Starbucks, saw the prices and went out. It took me a while, too, with the laptop - to a nice weekend!

Iris Flavia said...

Thank you, oh, just why get watercolor-sketches so "bland" when dry. Looked much better when wet...

Iris Flavia said...

But would you change states? Oh, I so would love to travel again!

gigi-hawaii said...

Can’t drive for 35 hours straight in Hawaii. Would end up in the ocean.

The calendar took me a minute to figure out, Iris. Thanks for the smiles.

Fun art and thanks for the smiles today

Yes, me also - "only" three times, but that was enough!

Thank you and you´re welcome.

I've eaten sweetbreads before, not a fan. LOL Love the art. You did a great job. The funnies made me laugh. Thank you for joining FFO.

We have an evil president. I couldn't help my self.

Iris Flavia said...

Yes, clever, huh, took me a while, too...

Iris Flavia said...

I´d never ever try sweetbreads and the name is really confusing. Thank you, sadly the cat lost it´s color when dry... The laughs go on Annie :-)

Iris Flavia said...

Iris Flavia said...

LOL, sadly true, but this one has violet hair!
