Wednesday - January 1st - Happy New Year to you all

Morning readers,

Happy New Year to you, hope you're not too hungover! May 2025 be as good, or better, than 2024. Thank you to all of my readers, followers and commenters too, I really appreciate your visits and comments

I found the time between Christmas and New Year to be quite unsettling that and the fact I didn't get much in the way of craft goodies for Christmas has left me a little demotivated on the crafting front - anyone else felt the same?

I've a make to share with you today ... this started off as a card using stencils but ... if you look carefully you will see that not a single stencil got used - how did that even happen? Mind you, I've not been near my Table of Craftiness since before Christmas so I'm just grateful something got made at all!! I've left this card blank as I've made this with a client in mind and she likes sentiment free, allowing her to choose the occasion.

My C6 card

Materials used:

  • White, 250gsm, C6 card and envelope
  • Card in white and hot pink for the card front, insert and matting
  • Snippets of card in white and hot pink, for my image panel
  • Sparkle 'n Sprinkle image (mini "max" - he's wood mounted and quite elderly and I have him in two sizes!) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour my image
  • Anita's dimensional gloss for the "glass"
  • Pink and Main faux stitched rectangle dies to cut my image panel
  • Cuttlebug "Argyle" pattern embossing folder run through my Big Shot
  • Craft Essentials "Argyle" ribbon attached using double sided tape

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-

  1. Can You Handle The Pressure - Dec 28th challenge - ANYTHING EMBOSSED GOES + (optional) WINTER
  2. Dream Valley - challenge No. 327 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - challenge No. 244 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Allsorts - challenge Not 812/3 - USE DIES
  5. Gem of a Challenge - challenge No. 1 - ANYTHING GOES

I was a Design Team fave this week, over at Critter Crazy (nice way to end 2024), thanks peeps

Great fun image on this card Kathy. Sorry you’re feeling a loss of mojo … I think the lack of opportunity to craft over the festive period and the miserable weather we’ve been having don’t help! I didn’t get any crafty goodies for Christmas but I’ve still got a few things I haven’t used yet! Happy New Year xx

A really fun froggy card with the embossing and stitched die cutting.

Congrats on being a Critter Crazy favourite too.

I found this Christmas and New Year to be very unsettling too and haven't done a lot of crafting. xxx

Wishing you a happy and creative 2025 Kathy and I love your cute frog lounging in a glass, a really fun image, and the argyle black and white ribbon works brilliant along with the white argyle embossed background, and the unusual shape of the stitched frame looks great in pink. x

I decided it was the fact Christmas fell mid week leaving a strange lag between the weekend and then New Year, so no your not alone.

A fun card and I hope you mojo gets going, many thanks for sharing with us at Allsorts challenge.

B x

This is a cute card and great idea to leave off the sentiment as it's suitable for several occasions. Sorry you didn't have the best holiday season. Same for me :(
Thanks so much for sharing at Allsorts challenge.
