This is my last 1970´s Optometrist-face with which I join Nicole´s FFO.
And here is a story from FB to make you smile with Annie:
Damn, That's Interesting

“I drive a school bus and have a 6 grader who I would like to talk about.
Last week he was talking about an elderly neighbor not leaving her house for weeks.
I tried to explain how hard it could be for her to do things.
On Tuesday I pulled up and he wasn't at the stop waiting.
I looked over and saw him shoveling her porch.
I was early so I waited for him.
The other kids asked why I waited.
I said anyone helping someone deserves a few extra minutes.
All the kids started asking him questions about his neighbor.
The next day 7 children got on the bus with blankets, food, and cards for the elderly woman.
I delivered them after work.
Now every day she stands on the porch and the whole bus waves good morning.
I am so proud of him for stepping up and doing the right thing.
He taught all the children something important.
I smile with pride in my heart because of the extraordinary children I have on my bus.”

Llamas communicate by humming
Llamas are rather calm animals, even if they are known for their sometimes funny facial expressions. However, their preferred method of communication is humming, which the animals can use to express emotions such as excitement, fear and curiosity in different ways.
Mothers also hum to communicate with their offspring, while male llamas make a distinctive gurgling sound when mating - the so-called "organ".

Humm into Friday with a smile!

Nice story, nice jokes, nice pic of you!
Yes, that story restores faith a bit, huh? (When I can cover my face I look OK?)...
Hi Iris, that's a lovely story about the children on the bus. When they learn these things early they never forget. I wonder when you try to call a company if they realise you have a life too and not enough time to wait for someone to decide to answer the phone and then when it goes dead...well say no more! Have a good weekend. Hugs Angela xXx
Lovely story about the school bus and it's children.
Your take away is not quite what I would expect and it doesn't excite me. But if it tasted Ok, well...
Nice to see your face for once. I always wonder what the people I communicate with on here, look like. Have a good week. Kate x
Yes, those kids "got it"!.
I am to call a help line likely in a few minutes, ack!
And then a nice weekend hugs xXx
Yes, kids - most at least - understand the world.
The take-away sounded so nice...
Thank you, yes, I always also like to see ... or even better meet the bloggers! x
It felt so good reading about the children bringing blankets etc the next day. There is care, there is hope, there is love in the (next generatiion).
Thanks for linking to AFFF
much♡love
Glad I could restore your faith, too :-) Have a happy Friday!
I hate when they put soggy carrots in the stir-fry. I made a stir-fry like that but probably better quality ingredients and it was pretty good.
best, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Ah those vintage photos with the BIG glasses. I love them.
I am terrified that millions of dollars will show up in my bank account.
Uber - I have done it but not alone. LOL...but I would. (and it was in a foreign country! LOL)
Happy to see your face. I would probably try to strike up a conversation with you.
Such a lovely story about the bus and the children…thanks for sharing it.
Hugs,
Annie x
You don't look stupid but you do look worried or not amused. I hope the steak was tasty. I took my husband out for a steak after he finished my greenhouse. And he ordered chicken. Geeze! I love your 70's lady,. Is that a sky she's holding? I couldn't tell. And thanks for the kermit-so true- and the Star Trek, but I had to thin a bit about this one. grin. hugs-Erika
Enjoyed your post today, great face, touching story, yummy food and great jokes -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
...Iris, I LOVE your sense of humor, keep laughing!
It was made fresh but nothing "special"....
Humanity in that sweet story. In some countries, humans used to be cannibals. (Referring to that meme about vegetarians)
Sadly really last pic with those cool glasses. Yes, let´s feel real horror about all the money ;-)
With another person I´d try Uber, too, but not alone and probably? I´d like to have a cuppa with you.
Annie, you´re welcome hugs x
What? See ... I look stupid the moment I see a camera! I was so looking forward to the yummy steak!
Chicken! Really?! LOL. I have no idea what the 70´s lady is holding.... But she´s cool! Hugs to that, let´s be cool.
I win, I´ll say :-)
Thank you, Tom, to laughs!
Ugh - quite a comment, thank you for the explanation!
What a moving story about the school bus children. There still is some good in the world.
I had to laugh at the 40 min flute solo. Yes, very annoying.
I've never used Über (I use only taxis) but my sister does all the time.
What a disappointing Chinese meal. I had a Poke bowl today from a Japanese take-away in town. I took it home and had it for lunch. Very nice it was too. I treat myself after Pilates as I have to be in town for that.
Oh nice photo of yourself, but you are looking a bit serious (no, not stupid). Was the steak not nice?
Interesting factoids about llamas.
Hugs,
Lisca
Love the jokes and the sweet story about the kids on the bus.
I have never used uber, Iris.
I enjoyed your post-you never look stupid-hugs your take out actually looks pretty good. we have our whole turkey in the smoker now and it is very cold here now-we have been spoiled with warmer weather
Happy weekend hugs
I miss days sometimes, so I hadn't seen yourself in your posts, and this photo does look like someone I'd like to talk more with...though she must be wanting that steak also! Loved the story about giving. Especially giving time. Phones sometimes eventually had a message now that you can leave your number and they'll call you back, still in the same order you're in the queue for.
What a great post. I love that story about the bus driver and the kids. It's a story that should be in class rooms. Ohhh and I love YOUR face and you DO NOT ever look stupid. You are so pretty. Thank you for joining FFO and have a wonderful weekend.
Love the memes...especially being afraid of 42.3 million. YES!
Yes, there is still good!!! Thankfully.
I´m even afraid to use a taxi by myself these days, though.
Well the meal was super fresh - but. Hm. Yes, disappointing...
I was happy, I just look stupid the moment a camera is directed at me - the steak was super-yummy!!!!! Hugs
Yes, nice story, huh. I´m even afraid of taxis (by myself) and here they think about trains with parts for women only when it´s dark. Sad....
Thank you, dear Kathy. I see a camera and "poof" - I lose it! Oh it´s cold here too, 37F, brrr. But... to a happy, yummy weekend, Ingo just cooks some HOT soup, hugs!
I´d be very happy to talk to you, too! And that steak was lovely!!!! Hmmmmm. I ate it so slow to have it for a long time it went cold, LOL.
Here they don´t call you back- they throw you out!
Yes, I thought I need to share this lovely bus-story! Thank you, when I see a cam my face goes "boom" - but, well, as I didn´t scare you off: To a wonderful weekend!
Sweet story about the children on the school bus. Nice picture of you, though you don't look happy. I'd be ecstatic at the restaurant. No cooking for me!
Yes, I am SO AFRAID!!!! ;-)
I was super-happy!!!!! The steak was mega-yummy! The moment I see a camera - "poof", I look stupid....
yum, I love a good Chinese takeaway unfortunately there are no decent places to buy such food in this town.
Yupp, here, neither, it seems...
An uplifting story about the kids and the bus. Uber isn't allowed here, it protects the taxi drivers. I'm off to hum a tune. :) Nice weekend to you, Iris.
I think you always look fine. Maybe people should take photos of you when you aren't noticing them. I like my chinese food with rice, I don't like the noodles.
I love the kids on the bus story, sometimes kids can surprise you with their niceness, the helping and the giving. "no-one" once gave away a very pretty dress I'd made her when she outgrew it, to a girl next door whose father only ever bought her dull clothes mostly in brown.
I don´t even know if we have Uber here, in Perth I was suggested to use it, but I ordered a taxi. To a hum on the weekend :-) And to kind kids and people!
Thank you, yes fK always snaps secretly pics of me and then I really look OK. The noodles were yummy, the rest was "just OK"...
Yes, kids are fresh in their minds and hearts... you can make dresses? Wow. I can not. A pillowcase is all I managed and that was difficult enough...
