Morning readers,
Hope you all enjoyed your extended weekend (at least in the UK) - get up to much? Of course, it would have been a great time for a BBQ but ... depends so much on the weather - so, how was it for you?
I've a make to share with you today ... since it was recently the 25th of the month (also known as "Rudolph Day") it seemed like a good idea to make a Christmas card, particularly as I have fallen a little behind ..... it's August and I've less than half of my 2024 quota completed! Shame on me, it started off so well too as I was almost at this point a couple of months ago and then my mojo deserted me - darn it! Best I get a wiggle on and make some more!

My C6 card |

See how sparkly the holographic embossing powder is? |
Materials used:
- White, 250gsm, C6 card and envelope
- Card in white and pearlised blue (from an ancient DCWV stack)
- Woodware images and sentiment (all from JGS468) stamped using Versafine Clair paradise and shady lane
- Whilst my shady lane ink was still wet on my card front I sprinkled Funstamps "holographic" embossing powder over the wreath, tapped off the excess and heat set, it looks super sparkly despite the E.P. being VERY elderly
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
- Rudolph Day - August challenge - ANYTHING CHRISTMAS GOES
- Peace on Earth - challenge No. 70 - ANYTHING CHRISTMAS GOES + (optional) mood board below
- My Time to Craft Christmas - challenge No. 94 - WREATHS
- Simply Clean And Simple - August challenge - CAS and OFF CENTRE
And now for an Artist Trading Card (measuring just 3½" x 2½") - I made the background a week or so back and it had just been lying on my craft desk. I decided it was time to simply add a sentiment and finish it. With those lush Perfect Pearls, it's not like it needed much else! I chose not to use a sticker sentiment but to stamp my sentiment - it would simply have looked too similar to a previous ATC using another section of my "mica masterboard"

My ATC |
Materials used:
- ATC blank
- Snippets of card in black and white
- Perfect Pearls: Perfect gold, blue smoke, pewter and plum
- Water spritzer
- Precious Remembrance Shop sentiment (from the set "new day") stamped on to a white snippet and cut in to a strip only slightly deeper than the sentiment, so as not to obscure the luscious PP sheen!
- Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - challenge No. 26 - ANYTHING GOES
- Allsorts - challenge No. 795 - ANYTHING GOES + (optional) DELIGHTFUL ANIMALS
- Gem of a Challenge - challenge No. 17 - ANYTHING GOES
- Polkadoodles - challenge No. 34 - ANYTHING GOES

The Woodware wreath looks very pretty in that holographic embossing powder Kathy and using the green ink as the base, and finished with a pretty shade of blue for the sentinent. Another super ATC using your Perfect Pearls, and a lovely sentiment to finish too. x
