Monday, Monday - and another week is off and running!

Hope you enjoyed the sometimes fabulous weather at the weekend! Did you have anything nice planned? Ours was pretty quiet, we weren't even dog sitting this weekend, maybe that's why it felt so quiet!!

I've a make to share with you today ... an Artist Trading Card, measuring just 3½" x 2½"

Materials used:

• ATC blank
• Snippets of card in white and hand made green/gold paper
• Studio112 "Dream" image/sentiment (60.30536)
• Encore metallic gold ink applied "Direct To Paper" around the outside edge of my white snippet
• Using a makeup brush I applied Color Box marigold ink to lessen the stark white of the image panel

And now for a card - I recently sent a card to my lovely U.S. friend, Sally, a get well card since she was in hospital for a short spell. She loved it and so did her daughter. Sally asked me if I could make another, as a birthday card for her daughter, so ....

My "same but different" C6 card

Materials used:

• Cream, 300gsm, C6 card and envelope
• Card in cream and turquoise, for my card front, insert and matting
• Snippets of card in cream and turquoise, for my image panel
• MFT "faux stitched" nesting dies
• MFT image and sentiment (from BB-37) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne and warm breeze plus Memento gray flannel inks
• Faber Castell polychromos pencils to colour
• Patterned ribbon (probably from Michaels)
• Faux crystal gemstones (with a dab of quickie glue, for extra adhesion)
• Stardust stickles to add some sparkle to ears, horns and wings

Since this is a previously made card design but in a different colour, I won't be entering it for any challenges. Want to see the original? See below, you can make up your own mind which colourway you prefer.
