Monday, the start of another week AND another month - welcome to July!

Morning readers,

Welcome to July, not really sure what happened to June yet but, there it is - GONE! Hope you had a good weekend too. We were dog sitting the lovely Riddick and, as always, he was a good boy, even if he is moulting for England!

I've a make to share with you today ... this time, an Artist Trading Card using the Direct To Paper technique, a technique I haven't used in a while. I recently "rediscovered" a whole load of ink pads which had been languishing at the back of a drawer, unseen and unused for far too long. I used to love this ink pad and it IS possible that the lightest colour of the trio has dried out more than the other two because (despite swiping it twice) it doesn't show up overly well in the photo below though there IS a sheen on the ATC itself. I recently produced an ATC which used 5 stamps, a stencil and half a dozen inks - this one? One ink pad (+black) and two stamps - sometimes less really IS more!

Materials used:

  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in white and pearl grey
  • Brilliance "tiramisu" pearlescent trio ink pad, "swiped" across the white snippet (twice, for good measure!) to give my background
  • Sunday International "2 cone flowers" image (G-PSH016) and PRS sentiment (from "Positive thoughts") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Stardust stickles to bling up the flower heads

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-

  1. Pattie's Creations - challenge No. 219 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Sweet Stampin' - June 22nd challenge - FLOWERS
  3. CRAFT - challenge No. 725 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Allsorts - challenge No. 787 - ANYTHING GOES or WAY TO GROW
  5. We Love Stamping - June challenge - ANYTHING GOES or FABULOUS FLORALS
And now I have another make to share with you today ...

My C6 card

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, C6 card and envelope
  • Card in white and fuchsia pink, for my card front, insert and matting
  • Paper Artsy stars image (from ELB30 - from Christmas 2021) stamped using Versafine Clair cheerful and charming pink inks
  • Visible Image sentiment (from VIS-HAP01 - from Aug 2023) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Stardust stickles - to add a little sparkle

I will be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Seize the Birthday - challenge No. 286 - ANYTHING GOES + (optional) ADD A STAR
  2. Creative Fingers - challenge No. 281 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Krafty Chicks - challenge No. 722 - ALL OCCASIONS
  4. Daring Cardmakers - June 28th challenge - HAPPY AND BRIGHT
  5. Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - challenge No. 232 - ANYTHING GOES

I was a top pick over at Creative Inspirations, for my entry to challenge #15 - thanks so much peeps

Tried a new restaurant at the weekend, it only opened ten days previously .... they were busy and a little flustered but every single one of the staff seemed to be pleasant and friendly, the place is nice and the food wasn't bad - we'll go again, but we may wait another couple of weeks till everyone has become comfortable in their role! That said, we had a lovely evening and the desserts were delicious!

A pretty ATC Kathy and love the background to the beautiful silhouette flowers using the three colour inkpad dragged over the card, and the bright yellow and pink dotty stars look great and finished perfectly with the black birthday sentiment..a wonderful card. Looks like you had a super evening with the surrogates at the newly opened restaurant, and am sure Riddick had a lovely weekend with you too. x
