Morning readers,
I'm BACK! Many of you will have noticed a distinct lack of posts from me lately, my apologies, I THOUGHT I'd got a cold but ... it hung around and hung around but it wasn't really until I spotted a touch of the rabid pink eye that I realised perhaps it was something a little more involved. Well, you know how tricky it can be to get to see a medical professional but, with a little ingenuity, we got me an appointment. Turns out it was bronchitis, sinusitis AND conjunctivitis (the trifecta of Itis-es!) - well, at least that explains why I felt so bad! After a few days of antibiotics and cream (for the pink eye) I started to feel better but then just plateau'd and found myself lazing about and reading more (than usual), thus - nothing to blog about! However, now feeling much more like myself and itching to craft I set off for my ToC expecting a joyous make to emerge but, sadly not. A pal is in need of a sympathy card so .... who knows? Maybe my next card will be more joyous!
I've a make to share with you today .......
Materials used:
- White, 250gsm, C6 card and envelope
- Card in white and light grey, for my card front, insert and matting
- Snippets of card in white and light grey, for my image panel
- Using a makeup brush and Ranger Archival watering can I applied colour to my white panel before overlaying my Tim Holtz stencil (from set #7) and adding a further layer of the watering can ink
- Penny Black foliage (from "Woodland Beauty") stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
- Fiskars sentiment (from 01-005534) stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-

Yay - she’s BA-ACK!
That sure was a lot of itises to deal with. So glad you feel better now.
Perfect sympathy card made with snippets.

Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling rough and pleased your on the mend! Perfect sympathy card too. I find I’m making a lot more of them these days! Look forward to your more joyous card!
Not nice to have all those itises at once but glad that you are much better now Kathy. This foliage and stencilled background make the perfect combination for a sympathy card and love the greys with the black silhouette foliage and sentiment for a lovely neutral look. x
What a lovely card Kathy. Love the stencilled band with the foliage and sentiment. Pretty shade of grey as well. Ooopsie, you sure have had the Full Monty there. Glad you're feeling more chipper.
Hugs
Di xx
