Monday and the start of another week ....

Morning readers,

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Mine was quite busy, hubby and I were dog sitting the lovely Riddick - well, mostly me as my hubby's been rather poorly for over a week.

I've a make to share with you today .......

My C6 Christmas card - will this be the last one of 2023?
Inked and stencilled

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, C6 card and matching envelope
  • Card in white and textured deep orange (DCWV) for my card front, insert and matting
  • With my MFT stencil (ST-156 - NBUS) in place I used a makeup brush to apply Distress Oxide inks in crackling campfire and candied apple
  • I then overlaid my Tim Holtz stencil (from THMM123) and added a further layer of the crackling campfire ink
  • Tim Holtz images and sentiment (from THMM155) stamped using Memento gray flannel and Versafine Clair nocturne inks
  • Crystal stickles to add some sparkle to the holly berries!

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. NBUS - challenge No. 57 - USE NBUS
  2. HLS - December CHRISTMAS challenge - ANYTHING GOES - see below
  3. Inspire, Create - challenge No. 157 - CHRISTMAS
  4. Peace on Earth - challenge No. 53 - ANYTHING GOES + (optional) MOOD BOARD
  5. Dragonfly Dreams - December challenge - CHRISTMAS

I also had a lovely Christmas lunch with two fellow crafters - so nice to gossip crafts and catch with those lovely ladies ... there was so much food that I was able to bring home enough leftovers for hubby and I to enjoy a turkey sandwich later in the day too! Woo Hoo!

And the tree was so lovely

The bar was SOOOOO Pretty too

And, if you are wondering about the portions (as my brother did when I shared the pic, telling him about the leftovers!) - this was just the turkey, roasties, pig in blanket, stuffing ball and roast parsnip. Shortly after I took the above pic, an enormous dish of veggies rocked up! AND our meal included dessert + coffee and mince pies - NO-ONE went home hungry!

This Christmas card is stunning. The way you’ve left a lighter patch in the middle makes it look like it’s lit up!

Riddick looks a little doleful!

Your Christmas meal and the way the place is decked out are amazing. Hope Mr K feels better soon xxx

A super amorphous stencil shape and love the bright red and orange and the TH stencilling looks great Kathy, and finished with the pine branches and holly which look very pretty. Sorry to hear your hubby is still feeling poorly and hope he recovers soon, and a great photo of the lovely Riddick, and of your wonderful looking Christmas lunch. x
