Saturday - it's the weekend, got plans?

Morning readers, 

I've a make to share with you today ....... a quick and simple Artist Trading Card, just because I can ... and because it's been a while since I made any!

My ATC, measuring just 3½" x 2½"

Materials used:

• ATC blank
• Snippets of card in white and grey
• Using a makeup brush I applied Distress Oxide in rustic wilderness to my white snippet before multi stamping my See D's image (from 50135 "say it again") using the same ink
• Verses rubber stamp "Happy New Year" (CH0162-A) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink

And now for another make .... a batch of two, inspired by crafting with a mate

My batch of two C6 cards

Materials used:

• White, 250gsm, C6 card and matching envelope x 2
• Card in white and navy
• Snippets of card in white and navy
• Unbranded nesting circles (plain and faux stitched)
• Julie Hickey tree image (from DS-HE1055) stamped using Versafine Clair twilight ink
• Water coloured using Distress Oxide in rustic wilderness
• Using a makeup brush I applied Memento Bahama blue round the stamped image before overlaying my TCW stencil (456c) and adding a further layer of the blue ink
• Tim Holtz sentiment (from THMM155) stamped using Versafine Clair warm breeze ink
• Pewter glitter washi tape
• Stardust stickles to give those trees precious sparkle at the festive season

While I had the tree image on a block ... thought I might as well make an Artist Trading Coin at the same time, it's been a while!

This was part of a craft session with a friend who recently took up stamping and who felt she'd made a mistake .... as we crafters know, there are no mistakes in art - just different interpretations. So, I set out to make two cards "the same but different", using similar materials. My friend's couple of makes were lovely - check them out, pretty darn good - right?
