This week at
it's my turn to choose the challenge and I'm saying, "Craft With Kraft!" which just means that you need to use kraft paper on your project.
This is what I did....
Made a card for my husband's niece's upcoming bridal shower. I know it looks like I put those paper flowers a wee bit too close to the words....but kinda had to go that way. Since I was foiling the sentiment, I had to print it out with my laser printer....which I don't normally use for crafting, so am not very familiar with which direction the paper needs to be for printing. And since I didn't notice there was a couple of tiny words on that piece of patterned paper (my intention was to print the sentiment nowhere near that small cluster of graphics on an otherwise just striped piece of patterned paper) which are upside down compared to the sentiment until after I foiled it, well, rather than go through the whole process again, I just covered up my mistake with said flower. Ta-da.
So, why not give our challenge a go this week and join us? And, if you'd like more inspiration, be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have made.

Super cute, Jan! And I really love your color theme/paper choices on this one (bordeaux is a favorite color of mine). Now, if you hadn't mentioned the flower placement I wouldn't have thought a thing about it. In fact, I still don't think a thing about it, because I think it's perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous card Jan, lovely design and I love the papers and the flowers look just right to me..

Ah... The art of embellishing to hide that which others would likely never notice!! I do the same. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun card with the pinwheel paper! I have yet to try foiling so don't understand how laser printing is involved but I'll take your word for it!
