Fun On Wheels All Occasion Card for the HLS Die Challenge

Hi, Stampers!

A new Happy Little Stampers Die Challenge is starting today, and the theme is always Anything Goes with Dies. Stampin’ Up had a free shipping day last month (love those!) so I decided to order the Fun On Wheels bundle to have in my stash for my grandson as he gets older. Even at 2-1/2 years old, he has mastered riding a scooter, so this stamp set will make fun cards for him. Of course, a bike needs beautiful scenery to admire, so I paired it with the May Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Once you finish here, I hope you visit the Design Team gallery for some great inspiration and play along!

My Secrets!

Let’s start with the card base…

  • Firstly, this A2 card started with Wild Wheat cardstock, cut to 4-1/4″ x 11″, and scored at 5-1/2.”
  • After that, I cut the May Paper Pumpkin card base to 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ and cut it through my die cut machine with the Deckled Rectangle die.
  • Then, I cut a small piece of Copper Clay cardstock to layer it on top.
  • Finally, this panel was layered on top of the card base with dimensionals.

And now, the fun part!

  • Once that was done, the rest of the card was super easy! All I did was stamp the Fun On Wheels sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink, right onto the panel to keep it simple.
  • Then, I cut the bicycle body and wheels in black cardstock, glued them together and added the Classic Matte Dots to the bike for a touch of bling.

Then, on the inside…

  • I left the inside pretty simple so I could write a personal message for whatever occasion it will be intended for later.
  • Firstly, I started with Copper Clay cardstock, cut to 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″.
  • Then, I cut white cardstock with the large Deckled Rectangle die and, before adhering it down, I stamped the bicycle stamp in black ink to the bottom of the panel.

I’m sharing my card with these challenges:
