Saturday - it's the weekend - HUZZAH!

Morning readers,

I've a make to share with you today ....... a slightly quirky masculine birthday card! I hope you like it ...

My C6 card

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, C6 card and matching envelope
  • Card in white and grey, for my card front, insert and matting
  • Snippets of white card - for my die cut image panel
  • Pink and Main "polaroid" die cut, for my "selfie" image
  • Paper Artsy image (ZN36) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • CAS-ual Friday sentiment (from WTF!) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Carabelle numbers stencil used, with a makeup brush, to apply Memento gray flannel ink around the "polaroid"
  • Selection of sharpies and my new (NBUS) B&M dual ended marker/metallic markers

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. LIM - challenge No. 486 - ANYTHING GOES (Keep it Clean And Simple)
  2. Creative Fingers - challenge No. 257 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. HLS - June STENCIL challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Seize the Birthday - challenge No. 264 - ANYTHING GOES + (optional) NUMBER CRUNCHING - mine are the background stencilling
  5. NBUS - challenge No. 51 - USE NBUS

And now .. an Artist Trading Card - at 3½" x 2½" I simply love the scale of them!

My finished ATC
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
Snippet of semi-gloss white card, run through my big shot inside a Recollections circles embossing folder
  • Tim Holtz image (from THMM159- 2023) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Then, because the ink wasn't drying I liberally sprinkled with WOW! clear super fine embossing powder and then heat set
  • Black Marvy le plume alcohol marker used, to edge my ATC
  • Sticker (from Tim Holtz Idea-ology "small talk") attached centrally across the top of my ATC

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Inkspirational - challenge No. 292 - EMBOSS YOUR BACKGROUND
  2. Art Impressions - challenge No. 354 - EMBOSS LIKE A BOSS! Both wet and dry embossing used!
  3. Corrosive Challenge - June challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - challenge No. 208 - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Can You Handle the Pressure - June 24th challenge - ANYTHING GOES + (optional) BUTTERFLIES

Sometimes my walks involve countryside and sometimes my walks get "detoured" .... here are some pix, one of my usual countryside walk and then ... my pal detoured me in to a coffee shop for some delicious freshly squeezed juices! Mind you, this humid weather plays havoc with my hair!!

Lovely quirky CAS card Kathy. What a great stamp. Love your ATC too, the embossing adds a great texture to the design. Sounds like you deserved a cooling drink in this heat. xx

What a fantastic quirky card I love the design of this cheeky chappie/chapess ! So beautifully coloured and I love the selfie frame. I know what you mean about humidity and hair living here in Greece, especially in summer my hair is all over the place. Thank you so much for playing along once again at LIM it's always lovely to see your fantastic and fun creations.

Two great cards, Kathy. I think the circles embossing goes exceptionally well with the wildflower image and the phrase finishes it off fabulously.
Thanks for joining in at Inkspirational.
