Monday, the last one in May - where IS the time going?

Morning readers,

I've a make to share with you today ....... sadly, I've had occasion to make a sympathy card, my least favourite type of card to have to make. The occasion arose whilst I was away and I had limited stash available so I HOPE it was well received.

My C6 card

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, C6 card and matching envelope
  • Card in white and dark grey, for my card front, insert and matting
  • Penny Black image (from "Woodland Beauty") stamped using Ranger Archival watering can ink
  • Hero Arts sentiment (from CL.342) stamped using Versafine onyx black ink

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - challenge No. 206 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Corrosive Challenge - challenge No. 5 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Stamping Sensations - May challenge - ANYTHING GOES + (optional) ADD A STENCIL
  4. We Love Stamping - May challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Just Us Girls - challenge No. 681 - CAS WITH A SILHOUETTE

And, since we recently returned from sunny Florida, a few more pix of our fab vacation.

Visited a local taphouse, where you make your choice of beer,
insert an RFID card and pour as much (or as little) as you want
and only pay for what you pour!

Well, I had no choice, as a Monty Python fan
 - I simply HAD to pour some "dead parrot"

We were there with our friends, Amanda and Ant - we girls chose to sit in
the armchairs rather than bar stools at a high top table - comfy.

Whilst we were away we headed to one of our fave restaurants ...... two of us were celebrating a birthday and the restaurant brought a complimentary dessert - YUM! Thank heavens we also got four spoons with this bad boy!

Nothing quite like watching the sunset from the pool deck,
with a glass of something chilled!

One of our friends shared with us, the photo below ..... this baby gator, wanting to come in!! Apparently, it's mama wasn't too bent out of shape when she came to collect it either - pheww! They look quite cute at this size but she did NOT want to get on the wrong side of it's mama!

There will be some more pix on Wednesday but, those will be the last. If you've persevered and/or enjoyed seeing them then I hope you will stop by again and thanks for looking.

I'm so sorry you had to make this card, but it is perfect for the occasion. Great pics too - I like the sound of Dead Parrot!

Sympathy cards are definitely not the ones you want to have to make but yours is absolutely perfect Kathy, and more wonderful photos including the cute alligator...it may be small but I bet it still has a full set of very sharp teeth, and as for its mother, I would definitely be keeping well clear of it. x

Your card is beautiful and so calming and serene. Sympathy cards are indeed difficult, but yours is absolutely perfect and I am sure it will be well received. Love the matching envelope, too. Thanks for playing along with us at JUGS!
