Spring Flowers! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Brenda's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Spring Flowers!" and I think everyone will know what that means.

Happily, spring is now happening 'round here.  *quickly glances out the window to make sure it hasn't suddenly starting snowing since that was typed*  There are lots of tulips and daffodils in bloom so it wasn't hard to get in the flowers mood.  I tried something I've never done before and did this....

I coloured on coloured cardstock!  I really like this look, I just wish I would have chosen a different colour to colour on.  Originally, I was going to do mostly yellow on grey but switched to the purple on pink at the last minute.  It was nice to colour on textured cardstock again, something I used to do all the time (albeit on the back side of the textured paper because it's a little less textured).  Definitely going to try this technique again sometime.

Image is from Canva.  Great thing about Canva is it's really easy to move things around on the page.  And if you've ever tried to move images around in Word....well, that's just say, you might cry over all that wasted time if you try Canva.  (:

So, why not give our challenge a go this week and join us?  And, if you'd like more inspiration, be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have made.

  6. I wondered what you had done Jean and love the look you achieved on the textured coloured cardstock. Perfect for our optional theme at Allsorts this week, although not sure about We Love Stamping is it doesn't sound like it was stamped? All the same it's a lovely card.

    1. Hi brenda. The images on Canva are akin to digi stamps. Once the image is downloaded you insert them into a program, like Word, to print. Hope that clears it up, but will totally understand if this type of stamping is inadmissible at We Love Stamping.

  14. Stunning card, Jan!!! I love the pink cardstock, I don't think any other color would look this pretty, so I think you chose well. I've never thought to color on colored paper, how clever! Glad you're having some spring weather finally.

Okay, so ever since I started my blog (well, maybe not right from the get-go, it was probably a good six months or so before I realized you could change it from just "Leave your comment") I've tried to come up with something witty to type here.

*sitting with brow furrowed in concentration*...*staring at the ceiling while pursing lips*...*resting with head on hand while tapping foot*...

Nope, I still got nothing.
