It was such a cool rainy day yesterday – Melanie got bronchitis so was home from work Friday so I’ll volunteer in her department on Monday instead, she is on medications so should feel better then. I do craft type stuff with her and a little shelving and not trained for other areas (special events now then too) I want to keep it fun not work LOL. I did run in to get my hair cut and stopped to get fresh veggies.
Earlier in the day I was at the sewing machine and got two more rows stitched on the Snails – one stacked up ready to work on today and two more after that – I should get done with it this weekend for sure. Linking to From Bolt to Beauty – Wendy’s Quilts and More – Confessions of a Fabric Addict –

The next row

Quilting on Rainbow Crossings from Wednesday night

Then I rolled it down once again and just started on the end block – I was moving slow and taking a lot of breaks.

I worked just a little on the EPP, I had been about half way done with the 3rd row from the bottom and finished that row – two more rows to sew and then get them all attached.

Owo it is great to have a gorgeous finished by the weekend!
Hope Melaine feels better soon.
Snails Trails is looking good and coming together quickly now! Hope Melanie is feeling better already.
I’m always surprised by how much ‘ shrinkage’ there is when we sew our blocks together into tops. Very nice design!
It’s nice to have a small volunteer job just to feel like like you’re doing something! I haven’t done any volunteering since Covid, and kind of miss it. Although sometimes I feel like everything I do for my mom is my current volunteer job, lol! Sewing blocks into rows isn’t the most fun part of quilting, but it’s definitely satisfying to see the top come together. Everything is looking good!
More progress in all areas is a good thing, so exciting for you to almost have snail trail pieced! Hope Melanie is feeling better real soon
Snail Trail / Storm at Sea will be next new project. Yours is so inspiring. I hope Melanie feels better soon.
Snail Trail is coming together nicely, love the scrappy look. Speedy recovery to Melanie.
