Kitties! We, Mom and I had a good first part of the day. One of my human brothers, Dad to my Client got here early with his camera, and an assortment of lenses along with the tripod, and set up out on the deck to wait for the Red Headed Woodpecker that Mom saw within 30 ft. of the house two times this past week. She alerted her son, and as he too, just as me and mom, hadn't had the pleasure of seeing a Red Headed Woodpecker. He packed up a bunch of stuff and stood out there for close to three hours. (he's used to it. He goes on Photo tours and does plenty on his own. He's the son who does Astral photography as well as Nature.
The picture I am including is one of his "throwaways". It's not good enough to post to his several photographic sites, but he is letting me use this one for the blog. He'll send the good ones for me to see as well. I always ask if I can share. Usually, he saves them for show and display, however.
He asked if Mom wanted him to sell two older Nikons and various lenses, and the close-up is the one most used for Mom's macroes. An extra flash that's tiltable for on top of the camera. to use instead of the forward facing one. Quite a few things. One thing going with brother is Mom's first ever Nikon. A D40. She used that camera to death. Her next one as well. The third Nikon was used moderately. We'll sell them and invest in another.
Mom excels in macro photography of insects and flowers. That's her most favorite subject. She takes landscapes too. Very few human photos, and quite a few cat ones. She posts her best to Flickr.
Here's Woody. He was a good football field away in distance, and my brother wasn't thinking he would do much more than take identifying pics today. He'll be back.
