Monday and another week is off and running!

Morning readers,

Hubby "suffered" a recent birthday and we decided to celebrate jointly with one of the "surrogates" who has a birthday pretty close to his, it was a nice occasion, marred by our public transport system. We waited for our bus which was showing a time but, as that due time approached, it simply disappeared from the board, leaving us to find an alternative route home! One that involved more walking and which "detoured" us via a "local" hostelry! Oh No!!!!

I've a make to share with you today .......

My 6" x 4" card
And a closer view of the image panel, to show more detail

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, 6" x 4" card and matching envelope
  • Card in white and navy, for my card front, insert and matting
  • Snippets of card in white and navy, for my image panel
  • Aall & Create image (from set #122) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Derwent Inktense pencils and water used to colour my image
  • That's Crafty dinky stencil (tc016) and a makeup brush used to apply Memento Bahama blue ink around my image panel
  • HLS sentiment (from "doodled flowers") stamped using Versafine Clair paradise ink

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Inkspirational - challenge No. 283 - USE STENCILS
  2. We Love Stamping - Feb challenge - ANYTHING STAMPED GOES - (optional) ADD A STENCIL
  3. AAA Birthday - challenge No. 46 - USE A STENCIL/S

'Suffered" is a very good explanation Kathy, I dread them these days. Really like how you used the A&C image along with stencil, a perfect masculine card.

Many thanks for sharing with us at this month We Love Stamping challenge.

What a fabulous masculine birthday card. The sketchy, grungy chess piece is divine too.

Congrats on your recognition at Ally's Angels too. xxx

Beautiful card Kathy, the delicate stencilling makes a great background. I know just what you mean about our local buses. We now have a bus stop round the corner and no buses which stop there. On the rare occasions we go into town, we have a mile walk along a busy dual carriageway to catch a bus. xx

I love these chess piece single images by Aall & Create one of which you have used beautifully here Kathy, and the squares like a chess board in the background are just perfect, and some great blue tones you have used with just that bit of yellow on the chess piece itself. Congratulations too on being a Top Pick over at Ally's Angels with this wonderful card. x

What a great card, I love it! The stencil and the stamp are a perfect match, and your soft stenciling is beautiful. Masculine cards can be so hard, I think, but you've nailed it. Thank you for sharing and playing along with us at AAA Birthday! I hope you'll join us in future challenges too. Take care, keep crafting and have fun!
