Let´s go back to my Niece´s old kindy, OK?
I really do hope (but don´t think) the kids were told this story (or any of the murals there)...
Wiki says: "A goodhearted orphan girl named Amelia has only her clothing and a loaf
of bread that a kind soul has given her. She goes out into the
countryside to see what might happen. She gives a hungry beggar her
bread, and to three cold children she gives her winter hat, her jacket, and her dress. After wandering into a forest, she sees a naked child begging for a shift
(long undergarment), and since it is dark and she cannot be seen, she
gives her own away. As she stands there with nothing left at all,
suddenly stars fall to earth before her, transforming into talers (silver coins), and she finds herself wearing a new dress of the finest linen. The story ends with her being rich."
I´m joining Sami´s COLOURFULWORLD Monday Murals.

Especially the first, baby Henry - science found out this makes us happy 🥰
And... read on on tales at Elle from Empire of the Cat on storytelling - I join with this wee bit...

Sorry it came out so... "hectic" - I have not much patience...
Addendum. I´ll ask the Nieces if they know the fairy tales!

Chris, thank you - it just screamed for this :-) x
Your sketch looks good from Ingo's scanner.
I think Amelia's guardian Angel saw what a good soul she had and rewarded her.
River, yes to both!!!
Hi Iris, sorry a bit behind. I love both versions of your sketch, the blue one is very cool though. I also feel like maybe I know this story, some of it is familiar. Sounds like a good deal though, right. Take my clothes and my bread and then shower me with silver - sign me up for that one! lol. Thanks for joining me for the October theme at Art Journal Journey this month Elle/Empire of the Cat xx
