Shokuyoku ōsei - Care For Soup?

Here we have a "new" restaurant that opened up in or shortly before the COVID-crisis - and it´s still there, such great view after we saw just yet another office- and art-supplies store closing for good.

I "declare" her a mural as she is painted. With chalk.
I need to go by there more often!
Bet their food is made with equal affection.
Maaaaaybe  Ingo will give us a go some time - it´s just around the corner, but reckon they cook with oil, which Ingo cannot have due to health problems.

But if they put so much effort into their "menu-murals" they maybe listen when we say: No hot oil!

Isn´t she a beaut?

Always makes me remember how sadly my parents both went to Japan, but not at the same time cause they thought their shop would be in danger, the staff would not manage (they got the journeys sponsored due to good sales of SEIKO-watches).

My Brother is different.
Family first!
Right thing to do!

How was it in your childhood - family or work first?

YES, Henry, you are right!

I think all their food is cooked with oil because something different like butter would change the taste and texture I think. You can ask them about their cooking methods, but maybe this isn't for Ingo. I love the chalk drawing.

That's quite a nice view, Iris. Work is important, but family first, that's how we thougt about it

River, I fear you are right... maybe we find something oil-less... Sad, but things could be worse than missing restaurant visits.

Bertiebo, glad you grew up better. My parents always had work first. Even at the table most was about work, not even school or friends.

What a pretty Japanese mural Iris.
I love Japanese food, just last Friday when Jose got home from work we went to dinner to our favourite Japanese restaurant.
There will be things without oil for sure, sushi maybe?
Apart from work my parents still had a home business when I was young, but I still remember going to the beach on weekends with them.
Thanks for contributing to Monday Murals Iris.

OK, Ingo will have sushi then!
I tried once - with chicken, but the weed tasted so fishy... nothing for me (I do know it is healthy!).
Beach-weekends sounds great!
Here it was skiing or with the sled once in a while. I hate cold...

Yes, that rated as a mural.

She looks fantastic, and I think it is chalk too. I guess that means after it rains they can put up a new picture. Happy new week. hugs-Erika

Erika, I´ll keep an eye on it - I think they might change it weekly or monthly! :-)
To a happy week, hugs!

Beautiful art! Too bad Ingo is allergic to oil. So much food is cooked in it. Poor guy. Gigi hawaii

His pancreas cannot "digest" it - cold oil is no problem :-)

She is a lovely lady and she is a mural for sure.

Yes to both :-)

I do like trying new restaurants and cafes, sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not.

Iris Flavia said...

Yes, before Ingo got sick we liked to do that, too.

I think this is a great interpretation of a mural, Iris.

I love Japanese food and the mural is nice. I'm so glad that a restaurant that had just opened around Covid time actually survived. That's a great story.
