Monday and we're starting a new week ... with a public holiday, got plans?

Morning readers,

Don't know about you but I was surprised by how nice the weather was at the weekend. We're more used to rain at a Public Holiday weekend!! We actually got in a BBQ AND line dried washing! Woo Hoo! So, anyway, there we were .. enjoying a bevy as it's starting to go dark when we spotted movement under the gate and we were joined by Florence, a neighbourhood cat

Am I too late for the BBQ?

Are you ABSOLUTELY sure you didn't leave me any?

I've a make to share with you today ....... having been rummaging in the DYLUSIONS section of my stencil storage recently - I rediscovered the one used today. I had also really liked the combination of the blueprint sketch and hickory smoke inks so ....... maybe I can give it a rest with these colours now but, we'll see!

My C6 card

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, 3½" x 4⅞" card and matching envelope
  • Card in white, blue and grey, for my card front, insert and matting
  • Snippets of card in white and blue, for my sentiment panel
  • With my Dylusions "circles" stencil (DYS52364 - dated 2018) taped in place, and using a makeup brush, I applied Distress Ink in hickory smoke and blueprint sketch
  • Kaisercraft foliage image (from "Botanica" - dated 2016) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Hero Arts sentiment (from CL342 - dated 2013) stamped using Versafine Clair paradise ink
  • Finally, a quick spritz of Crafters Companion Spray and Shine, to seal those pesky water based inks against water damage in transit

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Allsorts - challenge No. 690 - ANYTHING GOES + (optional) ROSES
  2. HLS - August STENCIL challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Krafty Chicks - challenge No. 626 - ALL OCCASIONS
  4. Gem of a Challenge - challenge No. 18 - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - challenge No. 188 - ANYTHING GOES

Love the blue and grey combo too! Another great card. Shame that poor cat didn’t get any of your BBQ! Maybe next one.
