Morning readers,
I do hope it HAS (gone well, that is)! Monday saw me lunching with my two oldest (and by OLDEST I mean longest known) friends, Tuesday was afternoon coffee with another pal (one I've also known for years - and years) and then dinner with another friend - it's turning in to a very sociable week!
I've a make to share with you today ....... in tones of grey
Materials used:
- White, 250gsm, C6/A2 card and matching envelope
- White card and grey card, for my card front, insert and matting
- MFT image and sentiment (from BB-59 "Bitty Bears") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink, including once on to a piece of Heffy Doodle re-positionable tape which I then cut out to use as a mask
- Using a piece of scrap card I die cut a rectangle - to use as a mask
- With a makeup brush I applied Memento London fog to the masked panel
- Overlaying my That's Crafty dinky stencil (tc043) I added another layer of the London fog ink
- Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour, in shades of light/blue and mid grey shades
- Stardust stickles, to bling up my bears umbrella
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
- Perfectly CAS - challenge No. 28 - ONE QUARTER
- TGIF Challenges - challenge No. 374 - TONE ON TONE
- CAS on Friday - challenge No. 234 - THANK YOU
- HLS - June STENCIL challenge - ANYTHING GOES
- Colour Crazy - challenge No. 25 - ANYTHING (hand coloured) GOES
Saw a craft video (by the talented Marion Emberson) on Saturday and thought "I wouldn't mind having a go at that" ..... the video showed a canvas and a card but I had an ATC (Artist Trading Card) in mind. MUCH smaller scale given that ATC's standard measurements are 3½" x 2½" but .... I'm no quitter! It's also a little bit mixed media and uses up some of the glitters and beads etc that were languishing in the drawer ... which certainly appealed to me! It's SERIOUSLY sparkly IRL. What do you reckon? DID it work? I've added the video at the bottom
- ATC blank
- Bronze pearl card snippet
- Mod Podge matte and a VERY old brush
- Glitters: Art Institute "goldilocks", Sparkle and Sprinkle "bronze splendor" and Glamour dust - once applied, I set this aside to dry for an hour or so
- Clearly Besotted sentiment (from "mini calligraphy") stamped using Versafine Clair pinecone ink
- Mod podge used to add my "ephemera" in the form of bronze "Roxx", clear glass beads and iridescent beads
- Brown sharpie pen, to edge the ATC
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
- Creative Fingers - challenge No. 234 - ANYTHING GOES
- Sisterhood of Crafters - June 22nd challenge - LAYERS (of glitter and beads)
- WeLove2Create - challenge No. 7 - ANYTHING MIXED MEDIA GOES

And the video? Check it out below - I HOPE you will enjoy it and may even be inspired by it, as I was
