Monday and a new week is off and running ....

Morning readers,

Hope you enjoyed a great weekend and that the showery weather didn't spoil any plans you had. I was at a neighbours home on Saturday afternoon - for an "open house" fundraiser for the renal unit of the local hospital and at another neighbours on Sunday afternoon, for a BBQ! We've had a lovely weekend.

I've a make to share with you today ....... a card made using a sketch I drew some time back - thought it was about time it got an airing

My C6 card - "just keeping it real"!!! -
 inside reads "Happy Birthday"
And a closer view of the colouring and use of thread

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, C6/A2 card and matching envelope
  • White and deep purple card, patterned purple polka dot card and purple glitter card
Snippet of white card die cut in to a circle using a faux stitched nesting circle die
  • Aall & Create image and sentiment (from set #170) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour my image
  • Crystal stickles to bling up the wings!
  • Silver thread
  • Elsewhere on my card I stamped my Happy Little Stampers birthday sentiment (from  doodled flowers) using Versafine Clair purple delight ink

And the sketch?
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-

And now for an Artist Trading Card, measuring just 3½" x 2½" - for a themed challenge of "Autumn or Autumnal colours" - gave me the chance to break out the peg stamps and Adirondack inks, both of which spend far more time languishing in drawers than they should!

My ATC

  • Rubber Stamp Tapestry peg stamp set SFL34058 "Pottery Garden" stamped using Adirondack inks: cranberry, red pepper, terracotta, bottle, lettuce, mushroom and purple twilight
  • Katie & Co "happy fall" sentiment stamped using Versafine Clair pinecone ink

That quirky bulldog is such a fun image Kathy and I love the glittery stickles on the wings and the added silver thread to embellish the glitter card background piece, and the polka dot dp looks great too. The peg stamps are just the perfect size for your ATC and the flowers in the pots and leafy stencil finish this beautifully..super autumn colours. x
