Friday, the weekend is JUST around the corner

Morning readers,

Lovely week, weather wise, just got to hope it continues in to the weekend ... we MIGHT even get the BBQ out!

I had a lovely day out recently, met up with a pal for a coffee, then lunch - so nice, can't wait till we get to do it again!

I've a make to share with you today .......

My C6 card

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, C6/A2 card and matching envelope
  • White card and cream (pearl) card for the card front, insert and matting
  • Woodware image (FRM002 - owned since March 2021) stamped using Versafine Clair purple delight ink
  • Hero Arts sentiment (from CL342 - owned since 2011) stamped using Versafine Clair morning mist ink
  • Using a makeup brush and an unbranded circles stencil (owned since Dec 2019 - also my NBUS) I added some Distress Oxide in antique linen, to give a little extra interest/texture

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. HLS - June STENCIL challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  2. NBUS - challenge No. 39 - USE NBUS
  3. Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday challenge - CAS (Clean And Simple)
  4. Retro Rubber - challenge No. 185 - CIRCLES
  5. Craft Rocket - challenge No. 93 - GIRLS

And now for an Artist Trading Card, measuring just 3½" x 2½" I find myself loving the scale of them!

My Artist Trading Card
My collection of snippets
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of leftover card in textured deep red, DCWV "Rock Star" stack and linen textured white
  • On the DCWV patterned piece I stamped the Kisercraft grid image using Brilliance chocolate ink. Next it was the turn of the Kaisercraft script image (just at the top and bottom) stamped using Brilliance crimson inks(both inks are pearlescent).
  • Background image (which I discovered after purchase was a knock off of Carabelle SA60150) stamped using Versafine Clair pinecone ink
  • On the textured white die cut panel I stamped the Ranger Letter It sentiment using Versafine Clair nocturne ink before using blending brushes and the brown and black inks to remove the stark white colour

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - challenge No. 194 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Penny's Paper Crafty - challenge No. 524 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Ellibelles - June challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Dream Valley - challenge No. 272 - ADD A SENTIMENT

I adore that Woodware Flower and the dotty stencilling in the background Kathy, and a great NBUS sentiment..thank you for sharing this beautiful card with us over at the NBUS Challenge this month. The ATC is great with the lovely patterned and plain card and the added white for the sentiment, and the background further enhanced with the stamping and love the pearlescent inks. Great photos of your visit to the zoo and it was certainly a hot day and love the male lion out for the count..lol. x
