Monday and the start of another week

Morning readers,

Hope you all had a great weekend and that the weather didn't spoil any arrangements you may have had. After the freaky hot weather of last week the weekend MAY have come as a bit of a disappointment ... I had to don winter slippers and a cardi, I felt positively chilly last night. I don't think the freaky weather is done with us yet either - look at last nights sky ...

I've a make to share with you today ....... I DO love to layer stamped images and haven't done it for a while so, here goes nothing!

My C6 card

And a closer view of the layered stamping
  • Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, C6/A2 card and matching envelope
  • White card and blue card for my card front, insert and matting
  • Stamps used: StudioLight SL362 and Ranger Letter-It sentiment
  • Inks used: Versafine Clair warm breeze, nocturne and monarch plus Memento gray flannel - most images were second generation impressions so the colour was less vibrant

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Dare2BArtsy - June challenge - MASCULINE
  2. Stamping Sensations - June challenge - MORE MASCULINE
  3. We Love Stamping - June challenge - ANYTHING GOES + (optional) ROSES
  4. Sweet Stampin' - June 18th challenge - FATHERS DAY/MASCULINE
  5. Seize the Birthday - challenge No. 240 - ANYTHING GOES + (optional) FAVOURITE TECHNIQUE

And now for an Artist Trading Card, measuring just 3½" x 2½"

My completed ATC

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Card in white and deep purple, cut to fit
  • Using a makeup brush I applied a layer of Ranger Archival inks in vibrant fuchsia and majestic violet
  • Overlaying my Memory Box stencil (88517) I added a further layer of both inks
  • Clearly Besotted sentiment (from "mini calligraphy") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Penny Black image (from "Allegro") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Purple sharpie to edge both layers
  • Kaisercraft "grid" image stamped using Ranger Archival majestic violet
  • Stardust stickles to bling up my blooms!

Great photos of the sunset Kathy and that sky looks terrific. I love the mix of stamps and great colours for the first masculine card, and then the pretty PB silhouette flowers with the mesh stencilled in delightful pink tones in the background, and the similar look on the purple background card using a grid stencil which coordinates beautifully, and that lovely sentiment too. x

Love your layered stamping, what a great effect. I don't think I have ever tried that so I must learn to be more adventurous. Love the background and colour of your ATC too. Thanks for sharing the first one with us at we love stamping this month xx
