Saturday, it's the weekend

Morning readers,

I've a make to share with you today .......

My C6 card

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, A2/C6 card and matching envelope
  • Card in white and purple, for my card front, insert and matting
  • Using a snippet of card (as my "straight edge") I used a makeup brush to apply lines of rainbow colours, in order: Distress Inks barn door, spiced marmalade, mustard seed, twisted citron, salty ocean, faded jeans and dusty concord
  • Tim Holtz partial sentiment (from THMM107 - not shown) stamped using Ranger Archival shadow grey ink
  • Inkadinkado flourish (60.30049) stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Krylon matte fixative used to seal the water based inks

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Simply Less Is More - challenge No. 465 - RAINBOW
  2. Krafty Chicks - challenge No. 612 - CAS - Clean And Simple
  3. Just Add Ink - challenge No. 604 - CASE YOURSELF ....
  4. Creative Fingers - challenge No. 231 - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Through The Purple Haze - challenge No. 192 - ANYTHING GOES

And here's why you shouldn't make cards when you are tired ..... I really like the card below ......... but (as you can see) I managed to twitch when sticking the image panel down and it's not square on the card. I shan't be able to sell this one and I shan't be entering it for any challenges either but .... I still thought I'd share it with you

My wonky C6 card

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, A2/C6 card and matching envelope
  • Card in white, navy and patterned - for my card front, insert and matting
  • Michaels own brand stamp set (reference long since gone, sorry!) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Distress Inks in barn door, salty ocean and hickory smoke used to "water colour" my image
  • Crystal stickles to bling up my snowie
  • Krylon matte fixative spritzed over my image - to protect the water colours against the great British weather!

And I discovered that one of my cards had been picked as the random winner over at CraftyCatz for their challenge No. 595 - thank you so much peeps

Very inventive way to incorporate a rainbow, love it. Honestly didn't think I would be the first one,not my aim, and I had t redo my card as I wasn't happy with the inkblending on the first. have a nice weekend

Great card for the CAS LIM challenge. Very cool.

Shame about your festive make - but we’ve all done it!!! Can you pull it apart and use some of the resultant snippets on ATCs???

Congrats on your recognition xxx

I love this flourish and the rainbow of colours for the lines you have created Kathy, and a great CASEing of your own maple leaf card. The snowman is a little wonky but maybe you can take it apart without too much damage and maybe add another piece of card behind the snowman..it is very pretty with the snowflake background and the watercoloured snowman. x
