Uh oh!

Kitties! Mom was minding her own business and I was minding hers, when the RING chimed and wrote that  "Someone is at the Door"!! So Mom looked and it was a somewhat older cat gracefully trespassing across the yard.  But she was carrying something.  When Mom went and opened the kitchen door Ms. Casual was out there and laid her Chipmunk on the junction of the sidewalk and began her lunch.  She didn't care a bit that mom was watching until a few minutes of dining had gone by. She slowly walked to the backyard.  I left the Chipmunk where it was as I knew she would be back.  Later I checked and she had taken him elsewhere.

Mom said she is not owned by anyone so she gets her food as and how she can.  Chipmunks are a favorite with Mom, but she also knows that beings have to do what they have to do.

Here, she is turning and leaving for awhile.

Gonna be noisy around here before long.  Have to get our deck's privacy fence taken down and a new one put up.  All the slats are tilting in different directions.  Squirrels did us in two Fall's ago. (gnawing) Time to change it out.  Have to get a porch light re-fixed...get a mailbox that's new put up,  house numbers taken down, and new ones up.  Short rail by the front porch two steps.  Several things.  It'll all just annoy me.

Thanks for coming over Kitties and two Woofies.  You kept us good company over the weekend.  Mom said there's enough furs in the bed to last the rest of the year.  Thanks.

Easter Weekend

Headbonks and side rubs to all of you.  And Mom...she said Hi.

It has been wonderfully and constantly busy this week.  Mom sometimes doesn't get to read but few blogs till much later.  She'll read on the phone many times but she is a victim of being used to the passwords always there when she is doing blogs on the iMac, reading and commenting.  On the phone, a fella has to input the passwords and since Mom lets Safari choose long complicated ones, her doesn't know them. So it's back to the MAC.  Sigh....must be hard being a Mom.

Mom got us a RING doorbell yesterday.  She had to use her head a tad to install and set it up.  She said she looks like a thug when she sees herself on the camera as "someone is at the door". Man, she looks awful.

Come on over Kitties, Woofies.  Mom will be alone this weekend.  She'll need all the warm, furred sweet little bodies with her all day and night.  Hey, the sheets are new and soft!  Maybe 6 of you could squeeze through the tunnel? She has been busier than even two bees!  The last three weeks have taken her away from me for too long.

Mommy asked the lawn mower man if he would plant three rose bushes.  He did a few days ago, and they are going to be perfect. They are like teenagers now.  Knee height and full..blooming, but very young. She went out to feed everyone rose food.

Here's our teens...

Here's me thinking the day over...

Selfie Sunday

This thumping rattly guy came over to a tree in the yard and asked if he could show off...er...take a selfie  I mean, and requested that if I let him, to put it in Sunday Selfies!  I said sure.   Biggafy to see detail in the fevvers, and their sweet faces.  Oh, and my Client's Dad took these of the birdies.

Closer

Kitties! What a week so far...and it will continue thusly.  Tomorrow I get the mani- pedi and I hope no one is just cutting the points, as a friend said happens with his cats.  I agree,  It does no good whatever and I will say that is what they did last time I was in there. Mom has plenty of bloody and painful scratches to prove it.  We'll see if she can catch me. She is tired of ALL the appointments and doings these past several months.  Mom's OK...that's not it..just there is business to attend to, things that must be done-- and so on.

Mani-pedi coming up

Kitties, I am going in on Thursday to have my mani-pedi.  Mom can NOT make them cut my claws short.  This time, after only 2 weeks, I have sliced and diced Mom pretty badly on both legs, just leaving her lap. I keep asking, they keep not doing it.  Going to get my ears cleaned too.  I will make an appointment while there with the Vet to assess how I am doing with my methimazole.  That requires a blood test.  I know Mom is not used to having such a long time go by with no check, though I seem to be doing well.

With Admiral, the Vet had her back in 10 days, and again in three months to see if the levels were right.

You know what Mom is going to make a friend who will be here on Friday?  Cherry shortcake.  She said she'll have strawberries too in case Cherry doesn't please.  And it's not pie-filling.  She has been on a roll for 5 months baking delicious stuffs for visitaters!

Now I lay me down to sleep...

Yeah, and the horse you rode in on!!!!

Exciting Day

Kitties!  We, Mom and I had a good first part of the day.  One of my human brothers, Dad to my Client got here early with his camera, and an assortment of lenses along with the tripod, and set up out on the deck to wait for the Red Headed Woodpecker that Mom saw within 30 ft. of the house two times this past week.  She alerted her son, and as he too, just as me and mom, hadn't had the pleasure of seeing a Red Headed Woodpecker. He packed up a bunch of stuff and stood out there for close to three hours.  (he's used to it.  He goes on Photo tours and does plenty on his own.  He's the son who does Astral photography as well as Nature.

The picture I am including is one of his "throwaways".  It's not good enough to post to his several photographic sites, but he is letting me use this one for the blog.  He'll send the good ones for me to see as well.  I always ask if I can share.  Usually, he saves them for show and display, however.

He asked if Mom wanted him to sell two older Nikons and various lenses,  and the close-up is the one most used for Mom's macroes. An extra flash that's tiltable for on top of the camera. to use instead of the forward facing one.  Quite a few things.  One thing going with brother is Mom's first ever Nikon.  A D40.  She used that camera to death.  Her next one as well.  The third Nikon was used moderately.  We'll sell them and invest in another.

Mom excels in macro photography of insects and flowers.  That's her most favorite subject.  She takes landscapes too.   Very few human photos, and quite a few cat ones.    She posts her best to Flickr.

Here's Woody.  He was a good football field away in distance, and my brother wasn't thinking he would do much more than take identifying pics today.  He'll be back.

Birds, Cat's and motorcycles, oh MY!

A hard working cat in a pet supply store.  He was a fast meower and always got me to spend more than I intended.

A gorgeous burglar in his mask, but he didn't fool me.

A flirty Goldfinch girl!  Hussy.

Prove to me this isn't true!
