HELLOOOOO Friday!

Morning readers,

I've a make to share with you today ....... sometimes I simply forget how much I love a sketch, right up until I see one that resonates with me, like this one did!

My C6 card

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, C6/A2 card and matching envelope
  • Card in white and deep aubergine
  • Snippets of leftover card in both colours, for my sentiment panel
  • Masking off my stencil area using low tack tape, I applied a light "edge" using Ranger Archival majestic violet ink before overlaying my Memory Box "sun ray" stencil (88505) and applying further colour
  • Masking off my secondary stencil area, I applied a light "edge" using Ranger Archival vibrant fuchsia ink before overlaying my Memory Box "zippy dots" stencil (88568) and applying further colour
  • I stamped my TCP sentiment (from S.5845.CL - in my collection since 2010) on to a white snippet, using Versafine Clair purple delight ink
  • Once my sentiment was fully dry, I cut in to a rectangle and matted on a snippet of the deep aubergine and then adhered to my card front using dimensional foam tape

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Retro Rubber - challenge No. 180 - SKETCH CHALLENGE (MUST use stamps older than one year) - see below
  2. HLS - April STENCIL challenge - ANYTHING GOES with stencils
  3. TTCRD - April 12th challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Dream Valley - challenge No. 267 - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Creative Knockouts - challenge No. 448 - ANYTHING GOES

And now for an Artist Trading card, little pieces of artwork measuring just 3½" x 2½", I can't help myself, I love the scale of them! And I LOVED that I had what I thought was the perfect new sentiment ... well, wouldn't tightrope walking be exciting???

My ATC
My Inky and mica "smooshed" panel

And a closer view of the "retiform" background
to my image panel - looks a bit like a spotlight ... IMHO!
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippet of leftover white card
  • Snippet of a masterboard of inked and mica sprayed piece of card
  • Using another snippet of card as my "straight edge" I used a makeup brush to apply Distress Oxide in black soot "retiform" style to my white card snippet
  • My Minds Eye image (from Lost and Found "HAPPY") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • On a further snippet of white card I stamped the Aall & Create sentiment (from recently acquired set #630 - NBUS) using Versafine Clair nocturne ink, which I then cut out "banner" style
  • Sharpies in black and pink, to edge panels
  • Dimensional foam pads to attach the sentiment to my ATC

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. NBUS - challenge No. 37 - USE NBUS
  2. Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - challenge No. 207 - ATC's
  3. Penny's Paper Crafty - challenge No. 519 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Pammie's Inky Pinkies - challenge No. 2215 - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Crafting Happiness - challenge No. 122 - ANYTHING GOES

As a bit of a Whitesnake fan ... as soon as I saw this I just knew this was going to be my Happy Easter graphic - have a good one peeps, not too many Easter eggs mind you!!

Really LOVE the card you've made from the sketch. It's a very pleasing inky layout and very CAS too. Just gorgeous.

Great ATC too. See what you mean about the spotlight!

Happy Easter xxx

I love your interpretation of the sketch Kathy and using two great stencils and such pretty colours, and your tightrope walking lady looks beautiful with the purple mica sprayed background, and more retiform which works well too. Wishing you a Happy Easter too. x
