Morning readers,
I KNOW I usually post on Wednesday and not on Thursday but ...... hubs and I have just returned from a couple of days away - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! Did you miss me? I probably WON'T be posting again tomorrow though - next post Saturday, normal service will then resume! If you want to see some pix then ... scroll down to the end of this post - thanks!
I've a make to share with you today ....... I recently made a fairly similar card to the one below but using a stencil and glass bead glitter gel. I really liked the pink/purple/glitter/stamp combo and wondered what it would look like in more spring like colours and without the "bling" of the glitter gel - FORTUNATELY the set of images I used offered the perfect stamped solution - check it out below - I changed the colours and sentiment font in addition to stamping the dots rather than stencilling. I think it works too, don't you?

And a closer view of the images used |
Materials used:
- White, 250gsm, C6/A2 card and matching envelope
- White card - for my card front and insert
- Creative Expressions images (from CEC897 - in my collection since Jun 2018) stamped using Memento dandelion and tangelo inks
- Clearly Besotted sentiment (from "brushed sentiments") stamped using Versafine Clair morning mist ink
- Orange sharpie, for edging my panels - to give definition
And here's my original make ..... see it here
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-

- Retro Rubber - challenge No. 178 - ANYTHING GOES (stamps older than one year)
And now for an ATC ... this deploys a taylors dummy image which is Never Before Used Schtuff! Always good to ink up "schtuff" you've had for ages but never seen a use for .... I swap with a pal and we do "themed swaps" this theme is SEWING so it was a perfect excuse to use this image - IMHO
Materials used:
- ATC blank
- Snippets of leftover card in white, green and navy
- Tim Holtz dummy image (from THC001 "blueprints 1") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
- Stampabilities sentiment (from "cute borders mix" 384032) stamped using Versafine Clair paradise ink
- Using a makeup brush and Memento Bahama blue ink I applied a light layer of colour, taking care to avoid the stamped image
- Blue sharpie used, to edge/define the layers

A bright, modern CAS image and design! Thank you for joining the challenge at Allsorts this week.
I really, REALLY, like the orange version of your card.
Brilliant themed ATC too. Top marks.
Thanks for sharing the photo's of your trip to Stratford. Glad the sun shone and it wasn't too cold. xxx
Lovely creations.
Thank you for sharing at Allsorts;-))m
Great combo of stamps on your colourful CAS card. Thank you for sharing with us at Allsorts challenge.
So very fun, Kathy - love those cheery shapes, what a cool design! Great color choices, too! Thanks so much for playing at Retro Rubber!
The yellow and orange combination is so bright and pretty Kathy and I love the dots behind the circles. The ATC looks great with the rather vintage feel and love the blue and green combination too. Glad you enjoyed your time away and meeting up with friends too. I thought I recognised Stratford-upon-Avon although I didn't recognise Warwick...we did these plus Kenilworth, Leamington Spa and Coventry but quite a long time ago. Super photos and glad you had some good weather for it. x
Hi Kathy, thanks for the visit to mine. So pleased you had a good time away. Sometimes the simple designs are the best though not easy to make them look finished but you did it with this card. Loving the photos too. Have a very happy and creative week. Hugs, Angela xXx
Looks like you had a lovely time away, photo info Warwick is literally just up the road from me.
Great card Kathy. Looks like you had a great time away. It’s a long time since I visited Stratford on Avon and Warwick, but recognised the photos.
Lovely card and envelope set Kathy. Pretty colour and cas design. Thanks for joining us at Sweet Stampin Pat K x
