Wonderful Wednesday ....

Morning readers,

And I hope it is ... a wonderful Wednesday, that is!

My first make today is a card ..... no black ink used on this make either and that's fairly unusual for me!

My C6 card

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, C6/A2 card and matching envelope
  • Card in white and navy, for my image panel, insert and matting
  • With my Clearly Besotted stencil (CBTFL418 "Flagged down" - NBUS) in place I used a makeup brush to apply Memento Bahama blue ink
  • Leaving my CB stencil in place I overlaid my Woodware stencil (FRST006 "grunge" - NBUS) and applied a further layer of the Bahama blue ink
  • Chapel Road sentiment (very ELDERLY and from "Vertical sentiments") stamped using Versafine Clair twilight ink

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. CraftyCatz - challenge No. 577 - ANYTHING GOES + (optional) MAKE IT CAS
  2. NBUS - challenge No. 34 - USE NBUS
  3. HLS - Jan. CAS challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Seize The Birthday - challenge No. 229 - ANYTHING GOES + (optional but not used) BLUE AND GRAY
  5. Cardz4Guyz - challenge No. 287 - SPOTS and/or STRIPES ... the spots speak for themselves and .... you COULD argue that the "banner" is a stripe!!!

My second make to share with you today is an Artist Trading Card ....... I was recently reminded (by Chrissie Stokes) about Kaisercraft background stamps ... now, I have QUITE a little collection of them so decided to get one or more inky ..... and this little ATC is one of the results!

My Artist Trading Card

Masked up and stencilled

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of leftover card in white and textured mid blue
  • TOX Studio tractor image (from "Transportation") stamped using Versafine Clair ink. Without re-inking I also stamped on to a full coverage post it, which I then fussy cut out, to use as a mask
  • With my mask in place and using a makeup brush I applied a light covering of the Marvy matchable blue ink before overlaying my Tim Holtz stencil (THMS107) and applying a further covering of the Marvy ink
  • Kaisercraft image ("rocks") inked up using the Marvy matchable blue ink I stamped off the full cover impression, to give a softer line on my ATC
  • Creative Expressions border image (from CEC-784 "Arty Background") image stamped using Memento Paris dusk ink around the outer edge, as a border
  • After removing the mask, I stamped the TPC Studio sentiment (again, from "Transportation") using Versafine Clair nocturne ink and also used Anita's dimensional gloss for the tractors "window" and "headlight"
  • Once my ATC was dry, I adhered my image panel to my textured base panel and edged the base panel using a blue sharpie

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Love To Craft - challenge No. 66 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. HLS - Jan STENCIL challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Polkadoodles - challenge No. 2 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Snippets Playground - challenge No. 419 - USE SNIPPETS - this is their brand new blog address, from this challenge
  5. Pammie's Inky Pinkies - challenge No. 2202 - ANYTHING GOES

Weather's been a bit peculiar this week, can't quite make up its mind if it's winter or summer ... we've had very chilly and we've had very mild and quite a lot of rain. All of this has played havoc with my walking, what to wear?!?!?!? Yesterday it at least had the decency to be dank before I left home, boy was I glad I took the waterproof! Still, the two moorhens on the pond didn't seem to care!! Thankfully, the waterproof was a poncho, with snap fasteners at the side which allowed ventilation as it was 11°c out there!

I love your banner shape in shades of blue with the vertical sentiment and pretty circle stencilling, and the ATC looks great with the fun tractor and coordinating sentiment, and the background stamping finishes it perfectly Kathy. I know what you mean about the weather being extremely changeable, but you look like you were ready for anything in your weatherproof poncho. x
