Morning readers,
Hope you all had a good weekend and that none of your plans were ruined by any "weather" issues, so many places seem to have had snow though, thankfully, my own particular corner of the World has escaped that ... so far! In fact, yesterday was remarkably sunny ... rather chilly, but sunny so I'm seeing that as a bonus!
I've a make to share with you today ....... using a couple of fave techniques, those of layering images and also the "tone on tone" stamping - I'm REALLY pleased with the way it turned out and might well use this again ....
I've a make to share with you today ....... using a couple of fave techniques, those of layering images and also the "tone on tone" stamping - I'm REALLY pleased with the way it turned out and might well use this again ....
Materials used:
- White, 250gsm, C6/A2 card and matching envelope
- Card in white and deep purple
- Using an Aldi stencil brush and Ranger Archival majestic violet I applied a light layer of colour
- Using the "stamped off" method I stamped my background sentiment, stars and numbers (all from Paper artsy ELB30) using the same Majestic violet ink
- Clearly Besotted sentiment (from "mini calligraphy") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
- Paper Artsy foliage (from ELB30) stamped using Versafine Clair morning mist ink
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
- Crafting Happiness - challenge No. 119 - ANYTHING GOES
- 613 Avenue Create - challenge No. 1 - ANYTHING GOES
- Water Cooler Wednesday - challenge No. 332 - ALL THINGS FEMININE
- Krafty Chicks - challenge No. 593 - STAMP ACT
- Just Us Girls - challenge No. 614 - INKED or SPRAYED BACKGROUND
Materials used:
- ATC blank
- Snippets of card in yellow and white
- All Night Media "Byte sized bunny" image (356D) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
- Using an Aldi stencil brush I applied Memento dandelion ink to the remaining area of the white snippet, trying to avoid the stamped image
- Overlaying my Tim Holtz stencil (THMS106) I applied Memento tangelo ink using another Aldi stencil brush
- I edged both my white and yellow panels using a red sharpie and used Pro Markers to colour my image
- Clearly Besotted sentiment (from "mini calligraphy") stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
- Love To Craft - challenge No. 66 - ANYTHING GOES
- HLS - Jan STENCIL challenge - ANYTHING GOES

Just as an aside, we crafters use a lot of cardstock and we also hate waste ..... I think it's safe to say that most of us have a collection of leftover snippets which we can't bear to throw away ... in case they come in handy! Am I right? Well, until recently, Di has been sharing her personal blog with an "anything goes" challenge that specifies the use of these pesky snippets! However, as of Sunday January 9th there is now a dedicated challenge blog for the deployment of these snippets and it's called ... the Snippets Playground. If this is resonating with you then pop over to her new blog and become a follower or, better yet, submit an entry AND become a follower!

Two fabulous cards! I love the purple and how you did the tone on tone for a soft background with the stars and numbers and then added those delicate stems. I like how you carried the theme onto the rest of the card and the envelope. Thanks for playing along with us at JUGS!
This PA stamp with the arty foliage looks terrific with the purple tone on tone stamping with the numbers and stars and the cooordinating darker mat really brings it out Kathy, and the cute bunny at the computer on the ATC is great and over the yellowy orange tones with the stencilling and a little bit of colour on the bunny. You are so good at using your older stash, and it stamps well still. The only way you can tell this is about 20 years old is the size and thickness of the computer screen..lol., he has bags of charm though. It just goes to show you should not get rid of your older stash as it works brilliantly. x
Love the tone on tone inked birthday card. The little Easter bunny ATC is so sweet. Apologies for being late to the party.
Hugs, Sarn xxx
The tone on tone stamping looks fabulous in the foliage card, I must remember to try this, and the bunny ATC is too cute! Thankyou for playing along at Watercooler Wednesday, Cathy x
