A Cuppa For You...

It´s not that I broke the cup of coffee...

This restaurant / café does not exist anymore, thanks to Corinna.
It was on the way to Ingo´s bakery (no artist shown) where I went and will go after the holiday - every Monday.

Now, I don´t have a Jack Daniel´s in the morno, in fact I never had one in my life, but this sight sure breaks one´s heart, no?

The tables are empty... no.
They are not there anymore at all.

Whom to kick, the virus, our politicians?
So many businesses close down, even now between Christmas and New Year´s, it´s a shame.

I dreamed I was in some place of Braunschweig, people ran to me, everybody was hugging and kissing - guess cause I dreamed this cause I miss my family and my Mum...

No one was wearing a mask, no one keeping the distance, yes, that is how Corinna conquers the world.

There are not enough Elephants to break cups.

Not of you, Sami!!!
Of Corinna...

Vaccinated people get not tested anymore.

Healthy people stand in line in front of test-centres in the cold - they (can) get sick of this.

"News" on TV gives us weird data no one asks about.

My teamleader told via MS Teams (we certainly not meet in person no more) ... he told one of   his vaccinated friends is positive, has symptoms and banned to the cellar, away from wife and kids (it was just before Christmas!).
What do those do who have no cellar?

Henry and I think all of us are very tired.

We all want cafés, restaurants, travel and all that to be back.

We always took it all for granted...

Breaking a coffee-cup is nothing compared to this.

We are coughing and sneezing like crazy.
Normal winter cold I haven´t had for years. Weird.

Coffee?

...from the looks of things here the virus isn't getting better any time soon. Take care my friend.

Yes, Tom, scary and crazy it is... but we are strong! (er!!)

Omicron is running rampant here and restrictions are being reimposed. Let's all hope that 2022 is the year we can say goodbye to COVID, or at least learn to live with it.

David, I think the latter it will be - and we have to understand this! You do - and I hope others will, too.
We will live with this, as with the common flu.
Darn it, hand me some "paper" to sneeze in.

The mural of the man in the hamster runner is how covid feels, isn't it? What a great image to use. I hope your last week of 2021 starts off great Iris. Do you have to work or are you off this week? Hugs-Erika

Even when I watch tv shows from a couple of years ago and people are standing close or hugging I start to cringe. I don't know if we will ever feel 'normal' again.

We are also tired of the virus. We were hoping that situation will improve and out came this Omicron variant. Don't know when it will end. I am missing all the gatherings and eating out with friends. Take care and stay warm.

Watching the news from around the world is scary, with the infections from the Omicron variant going up and up in most countries. I know we can't stay closed forever in WA, but I do feel so safe. We will be 90 per cent double vaccinated when we open up on the 5th February....that is if it will still go ahead with this new variant, but scary!
Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Iris.

I guess we are all so used to having the corona virus around that many people are getting complacent and letting down their guard. Take care. Happy Holidays to you and Ingo.

Nice murals! Stay safe, we all have too.

I'm always sad to hear of a place closing. It's terrible here too -- many vaxed people are having breakthrough infections (including our daughter-in-law) and so the lines for tests are full of vaxed people who think they may have the virus or want to be sure they don't before they are with others. We're being super careful. You be careful too!

Desperation is taking over as the new variant seems to infect the most careful people. After only a month, we still don't know the full impact, just that new lockdowns or at least self-imposed cautions are coming. Travel? Ha.

We're having another wave of restaurant closures here, but I hope most will re-open once they can get their staff healthy. Our numbers are bad, though, with cases increasing by more than they have in a while :(

I'll join you in a virtual cuppa. Happy T Day :)

We are living in a bad period. Everything is difficult.
Let's stay safe and let's hope in a better 2022!

It's really sad how many businesses have closed since the start of covid, I feel for the owners.

The numbers of sick people are up everywhere, Iris. and restaurants that I used to take the T group to on Tuesday are now closed forever. It isn't just in Germany, but worldwide, I fear. I think a LOT of it has to do with antivaxers who refuse to get vaccinated. We can't get ahead, so places have to close who were on the bubble before.

One thing I noticed last winter with wearing a mask: no colds.

Covid wasn't handle when it came right out at first.
Coffee is on and stay safe

We relaxed our restrictions and Omicron took over so now the restrictions are back. If only we had kept them in the first place and NOT opened the borders.
Our newspaper front page says, "Low vaccinated suburbs have the highest number of cases"
I am not at all surprised.
