Saturday .......

Morning readers,

Yes, Christmas is nearly here and, yes, I AM still making Christmas cards! What IS that all about? It's not like I'm making them for this year, far too late for that! we'll soon be approaching the last posting dates for mail within the UK. Today's make is a batch of three Christmas cards. It got to use up some more washi tape which has been languishing in a drawer, unloved, until recently!

My 4" Kraft card
My batch of three cards,
showing the front/back of my cards and envelopes

Materials used:
  • Kraft, 300gsm, 4" square cards (3) and matching envelopes
  • Kraft, red and blue card, cut to fit, for my card fronts and inserts
  • Washi tape, taped on to a 3¼" strip of white card
  • Hampton Arts "tree die" SC0178 (a stamp and die set) used to cut my "trees" and the co-ordinating stamp used to stamp my insert and envelope using Versafine Clair shady lane ink
  • Paper Artsy sentiment JOFY 85 for the "Merry Christmas" sentiment on the reverse of the tag, stamped using Versafine Clair tulip red and paradise inks
  • Dimensional foam rectangles used to attach my washi trees to my cards

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. CAS on Friday - challenge No. 202 - CHRISTMAS
  2. Polkadoodles - challenge No. 50 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. CardzTV - challenge No. 155 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Creative Fingers - challenge No. 221 - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Crafty Catz - challenge No. 576 - ANYTHING GOES + (optional) CHRISTMAS

And, since I still had a few of my washi tape "trees" left, I took the opportunity to use a truckload of snippets and make a few more tags!

The front of my tags

And the back of my tags

Materials used:
  • Snippets of card in red, blue and white (for the backs of my tags)
  • Nesting "faux stitched" tag die and nesting circle die
  • Washi taped card die cut using Hampton Arts SC0178 tree die (in my collection since Nov. 2015)
  • Crop-a-dile to punch the holes in my circular tags
  • Paper Artsy JOFY85 (in my collection since Christmas 2019) sentiment stamped using Versafine Clair red tulip and paradise inks
  • Dimensional foam, to attach my washi trees to my tags

Super cute tags that everyone is going to want on their presents this year! A great use of washi! I don't see the sentiment on the tags? Is the sentiment on the back of the tags that we can't see? Thank you so much for playing along with us at Retro Rubber! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
